This commercial portrays how study methods change with the times, while also conveying that Calorie Mate’s support for those who work hard remains constant.

Because the times are changing, offering encouragement can be challenging; even so, the parent and child—played by Jiro Sato and Manato Sakamoto—show how Calorie Mate supports their efforts.

Further highlighting the warm tone of the visuals is the piano arrangement of Superfly’s “Ai wo Komete Hanataba wo.” Its gentle rhythm and melody are memorable, evoking a heartfelt warmth that conveys love to someone important.

This commercial announces that Kawaijuku’s High School Green Course begins in January and expresses their commitment to supporting students so they can attend the universities they want.

It powerfully conveys, with vibrant imagery, their determination to fully back students so they won’t have to feel “I didn’t make it in time.” The song that further accentuates the momentum portrayed in the video is Garari’s “Tooi Sora ni wa” (“In the Distant Sky”).

The strongly resonant rhythm is striking, evoking the image of moving forward step by step.

This is a commercial recommending McDonald’s Premium Roast Coffee through Shoma Uno’s performance.

On the ice rink, just before he begins his routine, Uno holds a McDonald’s hot coffee in his hand.

As his performance starts, the song that plays is a parody of “Tsubbari High School Rock’n Roll (School Edition),” a tune familiar from McDonald’s coffee ads.

The sight of him landing one move after another with a coffee in hand, paired with a calm, matter-of-fact narration, creates a distinctly surreal effect.

The original song that the parody is based on was released by Yokohama Ginbae in 1981.

In the “Warring States Autumn” version, each cast member talks about the unique appeal of the autumn racing season from their own perspective.

Meanwhile, in the “GⅠ” version, Ryoma Takeuchi, who joins the group later, suggests, “Let’s go watch a GⅠ,” inviting everyone along, and we see them going to the racetrack together.

Watching the cast speak so enthusiastically about what makes horse racing fun might pique the interest of people who’ve never watched it before.

Tokken Corporation: Consulting Sayuri — Land Utilization / Asset Formation / Asset Succession & Inheritance

Hymn to LoveÉdith Piaf

This commercial features Sayuri Ishikawa gently offering advice on various concerns and thoughts related to the home.

The scenarios include consultations about asset succession, inheritance, and land utilization, showing how Token Corporation can provide support in such times.

The way the advice is delivered—slowly and conversationally—conveys a warm, empathetic stance that gently aligns with each person’s ideal.

The music emphasizes this warmth in supporting users, with “Hymne à l’Amour.” Its light piano arrangement adds a sense of familiarity and warmth.

It’s a down-to-earth pop tune that will empower anyone looking to take a new step forward.

McDonald’s Tokunald: “November FRY” Edition

William Tell OvertureGioachino Rossini

This is the familiar series of commercials featuring Masato Sakai as the character “Mr.

Tokuninarudo.” In this spot, which announces products sold at great prices every time, they introduce a limited-time offer: both medium and large sizes of McFry Potatoes are 250 yen.

Combined with Sakai’s high-energy pitch and the carefully crafted worldbuilding, it really leaves a lasting impression after just one viewing.

By the way, the recognizable song playing in the background is the William Tell Overture.

Many people probably know the melody but couldn’t quite recall the title, right?
