In this article, we introduce a variety of Halloween wall decorations.

Halloween pumpkin, bats, and spider

When you use marble art to draw patterns based on Halloween motifs like pumpkins, bats, and spiders, the result is delightfully surreal! Line a box with drawing paper, then paint patterns on a pumpkin cutout with orange and yellow, and on bat and spider cutouts with black and gray.

Once you’ve achieved the patterns you like, take them out of the box, cut along each shape, and you’re done! Don’t you think the irregular patterns created by the marbles’ unpredictable movements perfectly match the slightly spooky Halloween vibe?

Make it with raffia ribbon! Here’s a hanging decoration idea.

What you’ll need: raffia (suzuran) tape, Halloween-themed illustrations, scissors, and tape.

How to make it: simply attach the cut-out illustrations to the raffia tape however you like, and you’re done.

It would be fun to have children draw the pictures or cut them out together with kids who are good with scissors! Be sure that a teacher or guardian supervises, as there’s a risk of injury.

Just by hanging them from the ceiling or on the wall, your classroom or home will instantly feel Halloween-ready.

Chiguhagu – THE SUPER FRUIT

Colorful and eye-catching! Here’s how to make a haunted castle.

You’ll need a castle template, black construction paper, scissors, a craft knife, tape, and colored cellophane.

To make it, first cut out the castle drawing or illustration with scissors or a craft knife, then continue cutting the black construction paper in the same way.

Tape colored cellophane over the window and door openings in the black paper, and you’ll have a colorful castle! It could also be fun to display it with ghost silhouettes peeking out from the windows.

Be sure to take great care when cutting small or detailed parts!

Spider web wreath

[Halloween Craft] Easy Spiderweb Wreath Tutorial (for ages 2–5)
Spider web wreath

Here’s a spiderweb wreath I highly recommend as a Halloween party decoration.

Using a paper plate, let’s easily make a wreath.

First, cut out the center of the paper plate so you’re left with just the rim, and make several small slits around that rim.

On the remaining rim, attach Halloween-themed decorations—like jack-o’-lanterns and bats—made from origami or construction paper.

It’s also a great idea to add small torn pieces of origami paper as confetti-like decorations or use Halloween-themed stickers.

After that, hook black yarn into the slits you made in the plate, crisscrossing it from different directions to form a spiderweb pattern, and you’re done! Add a ribbon and you can hang it on a wall or anywhere you like.

Made with a stencil technique! Here’s an introduction to creating a Halloween wall display.

You’ll need tissues, chopsticks, paper towels, rubber bands, masking tape, a pen, a craft knife, paint, black construction paper, and printer paper.

First, make a tampo (dauber).

Next, draw Halloween-themed illustrations on the printer paper and cut them out.

Tape the printer paper in place with masking tape, then spread the paint using the dauber.

The key is to adjust the amount of water so you don’t use too much! After the paint dries, it would be fun to add details with crayons.

Halloween ghost

Halloween ghost

Speaking of autumn, Halloween is a favorite among children.

How about making ghosts that even one-year-olds can enjoy? Prepare the parts for the ghosts—eyes, mouth, hands, and so on—in advance, and put double-sided tape on the back.

First, attach a sponge to the end of a chopstick and secure it with a rubber band.

Dab white paint on the sponge and use it to draw big ghosts on black construction paper.

Next, peel the backing off the tape on the parts and hand them to the children so they can stick them on.

It’s best to let them be as free as they like, both when drawing the ghosts and when placing the parts.

You’ll end up with wonderfully unique and adorable ghosts!

paper balloon pumpkin

[Origami] Halloween Monster Balloon 🎃 Halloween Monster Origami
paper balloon pumpkin

This is a paper-balloon pumpkin that kids can move with their fingertips or use as a garland decoration.

Fold the origami paper twice toward the center, then open it from the inside and flatten into a triangle.

Fold the triangle’s corners toward the center, and fold the top and the left and right flaps.

Here’s the key point: tuck the top corner into the holes on the left and right, then crease.

Flip it over and repeat the same folds on the back.

Open the bottom section and draw your illustration.

Add the pumpkin stem piece at the top to complete your pumpkin paper balloon! Why not make this three-dimensional pumpkin with your three-year-olds and enjoy the results together?

In conclusion

This time, I’ve gathered lots of wall decoration ideas again.

Was there any wall design you wanted to try making? When we hear “wall decorations,” we tend to picture something flat, but there are many ways to decorate—some with moving mechanisms or three-dimensional elements—so please give it a try and display your creations!
