A.B.C-Z’s iconic and popular songs

A.B.C-Z is a five-member male idol group affiliated with Johnny & Associates.

The group name adds a “Z” to “Acrobat Boys Club.” Since all members were active as backup dancers for their seniors in the agency, they excel at acrobatics such as backflips.

A.B.C-Z’s Classic and Popular Songs (31–40)

As the title suggests, “Secret Lover” evokes the idea of a forbidden romance, like an affair.

Lyrics about things like a special sign just between the two of them hint at feelings that they mustn’t let those around them find out.

The choreography is cool as well, so it’s a highly recommended track.

This group is known for showcasing acrobatic skills, so their sharp dancing and the seamless backflips between songs are must-see.

You’ll be captivated by the beautifully interwoven five-member choral work, and be sure to pay attention to the rap section that starts partway through.

In the Name of Love ~ OathA.B.C-Z

I really love this song.

It’s cool, and the mix of English lyrics makes me want to listen to it over and over.

The choreography is unique yet cohesive, so it’s captivating at live shows too—I never get bored and can watch it again and again.

Summer is great!!A.B.C-Z

“Summer Jojo!!” is a track included on A.B.C-Z’s second album.

As the title suggests, it’s an up-tempo song that makes you want to listen to it in summer, with choreography that evokes the season as well.

I felt it’s the kind of song you’d want to play on a summer day somewhere with an ocean view.

“Hanakotoba” is a track included on A.B.C-Z’s 8th DVD.

Alongside the group’s flower-like, elegant choreography, elements of the yonanuki scale (a pentatonic scale with a traditional Japanese flavor) are incorporated in parts, which I think matches very well.

Given the title “Hanakotoba” (the language of flowers), the lyrics seem tailored toward romance and may be aimed at a female audience.

This is one of the most popular songs by A.B.C-Z.

The piano and violin performances are irresistibly cool.

It felt like they’d really begun performing in earnest.

I wanted to hear more and see more.

I also love the melody.

It’s a sultry, grown-up number, and it’s become one of my favorites.

All five of them dance so sharply that it’s fun just to watch, and it’s cool enough to make you let out a sigh of admiration.

The bartender-style outfits are cool, too.
