Team Competition! Azuki Relay

This is an introduction to a game where teams compete on time by moving azuki beans from one plate to another using chopsticks.
Prepare azuki beans, chopsticks, and plates, then simply keep transferring the beans from plate to plate with the chopsticks.
Participants get fully absorbed in the fine handwork.
Once all the beans have been moved, the next player takes over and continues moving the beans to the empty plate.
Toilet paper swirl

This is what the actual toilet paper unrolling game looks like.
The participants are doing their best to unroll the toilet paper as fast as they can.
They time it, and the person with the fastest time seems to win.
It’s a simple game, but you can feel how desperate the participants are, and it’s really lively.
Toilet Paper Race

This is an introduction video for the Toilet Paper Race.
Prepare toilet paper, vinyl tape for the finish line, and items like bottles to place on the end of the toilet paper.
If the toilet paper tears, you’re disqualified; put the item back on right there and resume.
In turn, players choose an item to place on the toilet paper and set it on the end of the sheet stretched to the finish line.
At the start signal, players roll up the paper, and the first person to finish winding the paper back to their hands wins.
Model Walking Relay

This is an introduction video for the Model Walking Relay.
Form groups, hold a book or magazine between your thighs, and walk like a model in a relay.
If you drop the book along the way, you have to start over.
The team that reaches the goal first wins.
When you actually see it, the way they walk while holding the book looks just like a model’s walk.
Up-Down-Left-Right Game

This is an introduction video for the Up-Down-Left-Right game.
Participants listen to prewritten sentences, and whenever a kanji for up, down, left, or right appears, they turn their head in that direction.
The prepared sentences are very long and contain many instances of these directions.
Words like Shimokitazawa (containing ‘down’), jōkyō (containing ‘up’ and ‘capital’), and even the compound ‘up-down-left-right’ are used to mislead participants, which seems to make the text amusing.

Hands-free speed-eating contest!

This is an introduction video for a “no-hands speed-eating challenge.” With your head tilted back, you place a rice cracker on your forehead and use only facial movements—no hands—to get it into your mouth.
The person who eats it the fastest wins.
Smaller rice crackers seem to work best.
Watching it in action is entertaining—the facial expressions while moving the cracker are hilarious and make it very engaging.
Kappa Plate Ball-Carrying Race

This is an introduction video for an obstacle course where participants carry ping-pong balls in a dish balanced on their head.
As long as even one ping-pong ball remains, it counts.
They avoid pole-like obstacles and walk across bumpy mats to move forward.
The dish is heaped with ping-pong balls, and you can see them spilling out bit by bit.
