Aimer’s classic and popular songs (31–40)
white mayflyAimer

Singer Aimer, who uses her longtime nickname—and the French word for “to love” or “to like”—as her artist name.
Her 23rd single, Shirairo Kabutobashi (White Mayfly), was chosen as the theme song for NHK General’s Drama 10 series “Ōoku Season 2.” The piano and string ensemble that creates a sense of depth, along with the somewhat wistful melody, is full of appeal that draws you into the song’s world.
It’s a grand ballad featuring a fragile yet soulful vocal performance that leaves a strong impression.
Black BirdAimer

Released in 2018, it was also the theme song for the film Kasane.
I’ve been focusing on songs with relatively simple, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-remember melodies, but in that sense, this song might not quite fit the bill.
At first listen, it sounds like a song with a fairly complex melody, doesn’t it? Still, don’t be intimidated by that.
Some parts may seem difficult to sing because of Aimer’s distinctive vocal style, but the vocal range used isn’t that wide.
If you listen closely, learn the melody, and sing it, I believe it will be a song that many people find easy to perform.
Re:prayAimer

Aimer’s “Re:pray,” used as an ending theme for the anime BLEACH.
The title plays on “replay” and the word “pray,” and that nuance is used strikingly in the lyrics as well.
The lyrics portray the breakup of a couple—poignant and sorrowful—and I’m sure they’ll pierce your heart as you listen.
It’s a heartbreak song, a farewell song, and you can feel lingering attachment, but as you read the words woven into the lyrics, you can also imagine someone trying to move forward, and it brings you to tears.
SCOPEAimer

This work, created by the rising female artist Aimer, beautifully captures the anime’s world with her distinctive husky voice and deeply expressive delivery.
Her powerful vocals convey both the tension of the medical mystery theme and the protagonist’s sense of duty.
Set for release in February 2025 as her 25th single, it also serves as the opening theme for the anime “Takaou Ameku’s Diagnostic Chart of Reasoning.” With its mysterious and dramatic atmosphere, this song resonates with viewers whose hearts race with the unfolding story.
STAND-ALONEAimer

It was released as a digital-only single by Aimer and was used as the main theme for Chapter 1 of the NTV Sunday drama “Your Turn to Kill.” The song has a melody that seems designed to bring out the full appeal of Aimer’s rich, powerful voice, and through her vocals and delivery, you can really feel her rock sensibility.
Now, if you’re going to sing this song at karaoke, the opening A-melody in particular might be a great place for lower-voiced women to showcase their strengths.
In the chorus there are some fairly high notes, and Aimer herself appears to blend mixed voice and falsetto to express them.
Even if you’re not confident with high notes, I hope you’ll practice and master this part.
Try to avoid tightening your throat; instead, open the back of your mouth in a rounded way, aim the sound toward your upper palate, and practice singing so the voice resonates fully within your oral cavity.
Aimer’s Greatest and Most Popular Songs (41–50)
ZiluAimer

A song by Aimer, released digitally in 2021.
It was also used as the ending theme for the TV anime Mo Dao Zu Shi: The Past.
Aimer has been highly praised for her vocal ability since her debut, and that strength is fully on display in this track as well, resulting in a ballad with exceptionally expressive vocals.
Combining both softness and power, this song by Aimer offers a great deal for women who want to improve their singing.
In particular, her vocal production is truly outstanding.
When singing the high notes in the chorus, be careful not to force the high tones.
Zankyo SankaAimer

Aimer’s 20th single.
Released as a double A-side with “Asa ga Kuru,” it drew attention for being chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc.
Although the melody is fast with large leaps in pitch that might make it seem difficult, its driving momentum lets you power through it.
As the theme song of a hugely popular anime, it’s widely recognized and great for group singing, so don’t worry about the finer techniques—just have fun singing it.
