[April 2026] Music Works & Live Collections Available on Amazon Prime Video (211–220)
Bocchi the Rock!Keiichiro Saito

This work portrays the music activities centered around Hitori Gotoh, a girl who dreams of being in a band.
A key point of the story is that she’s extremely shy and has spent her time alone practicing guitar, and it’s fascinating to see how she interacts with others given her personality.
The expressive depictions of her retreating into her own world—precisely because she’s not good at dealing with people—leave a strong impression and convey the negative aspect of shyness in a humorous way.
Since the theme is a band, the work also drew attention for its musical elements; the high-quality songs by renowned creators add a powerful energy to the story’s world.
It’s a piece that also lets you feel the realistic struggles of being active as a band and the growth of the characters.
Hope and DespairHinatazaka46

Hinatazaka46, a national idol group.
If you want to get to know their charm and personalities more deeply, watch Hope and Despair.
This is a documentary film that closely follows them from 2018 up to their Tokyo Dome concert held in 2020.
The film portrays the conflicts and sorrow unique to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as their strong determination and the bonds among members as they strive to overcome those challenges.
It’s a must-see not only for Hinatazaka46 fans but also for those unfamiliar with them as a great introduction.
It’s also recommended to watch it together with the previous film, Debut in the Third Year.
BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!Kodai Kakimoto

This work portrays the members of MyGO!!!!!—a band that appears in the multimedia project BanG Dream!—and the events leading up to their formation.
Unlike the sparkling, idealized youth often depicted in previous BanG Dream! series entries, this story drew significant attention for its depiction of pain and inner turmoil born from miscommunication.
True to its tagline about not hesitating to hesitate, it’s a striking narrative in which the characters sometimes waver yet push forward with everything they have.
Its distinctive musicality is another major draw: the powerful sound combined with lyrics that recite overlapping verses creates a unique atmosphere that feels like a raw, unfiltered expression of emotion.
=LOVE Today is your Trigger THE MOVIE=LOVE

=LOVE is an idol group produced by Rino Sashihara.
While more and more K‑pop–style idols are emerging lately, they continue to thrive at the forefront as a quintessential Japanese idol group.
The live video work I recommend is ‘=LOVE Today is your Trigger THE MOVIE.’ It includes footage of each member’s feelings about performing at the Budokan, allowing you to see their resolve to live as idols.
If you like Japanese idols, be sure to check it out.
6th GAONCHART MUSIC AWARDS 2016
You won’t want to miss “6th GAONCHART MUSIC AWARDS 2016,” either.
This work captures the highlights of a music event organized primarily by the Korea Music Content Association.
The lineup is truly all-star, featuring BTS, BLACKPINK, NCT 127, and TWICE.
Since it was held in 2016, you can also enjoy it with a sense of nostalgia by comparing it to the present.
TOBE LIVE at ARIAKE ARENATOBE
This work compiles the solo concerts by artists from TOBE at Ariake Arena into a single series.
It features four shows—by Ken Miyake, Hiromitsu Kitayama, Number_i, and IMP.—and watching them in sequence really highlights each artist’s individuality.
Whether you focus on their restarts as solo artists or new groups, or on their special attachment to performing in an arena, there are many angles from which to enjoy it.
As these were early-stage arena performances for TOBE, the shows also build anticipation for what’s to come through their performances.
Justin Bieber: Our Countdown LiveJustin Bieber

Justin Bieber, the Canadian singer who’s hugely popular in Japan as well.
From his early days until not too long ago, he was loved around the world as an idol, but recently he’s been incorporating hip-hop and energizing the scene with the music he truly wants to make.
You can witness that evolution in Justin Bieber: Our Countdown Live.
As a 2020 live release marking the period when he began shifting his musical direction in earnest, it lets you experience styles he hadn’t shown before.
