At all times.Makihara Noriyuki

An anthem that reminds you of the importance of being yourself when you feel like you’re losing who you are.

The lyrics, which encourage you to walk the path you believe in without being trapped by others’ gazes, gently push you forward as you dive into a new environment.

Released in June 1991 as a single by Noriyuki Makihara, this classic has sold over 1.67 million copies.

Written as the theme song for the film “No Problems on the Employment Front,” it was also selected as the entrance march for the 1992 National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament.

Its universally known melody continues to be loved across generations.

Take a break from packing—or play it on your first morning in your new home.

As you embark on a new life filled with both excitement and uncertainty, give it a listen.

Beginning Morning evokes a busy morning with its intense drum sound in the intro.

It’s a hidden gem included on Official HIGE DANDism’s 2017 mini-album REPORT.

The contrast between the heavily distorted guitar and the clean piano creates an indescribably refreshing feel.

The fierce drums and piano also seem to capture that buoyant, springtime excitement.

And their superhuman high-register vocals are, of course, on full display in this track as well.

It’s my number-one pick for a song to play on mornings when you’re prone to the blues!

I’d like to dedicate Noriyuki Makihara’s song “Tōku Tōku” (“Far, Far Away”) to those who are leaving their hometown for further education or a job.

It’s a message song Makihara wrote to friends who still live back home.

Leaving your hometown can feel very lonely and uncertain, but the desire to show your family and friends that you’re giving your all on the path and in the place you chose can turn into that extra bit of courage.

Listening to “Tōku Tōku” makes me feel like I’ve got to keep pushing on—for the sake of those who support me, too.
