Aqua Timez’s famous and popular songs

Let me introduce songs by the five-member rock band Aqua Timez.

They have a lineup of classics, many of which were used as theme songs for anime and TV dramas.

Their appeal lies in their exhilarating freshness and straightforward lyrics.

If you were born in the early 1990s, many of their songs will probably feel very nostalgic.

By the way, one of their songs includes Coach Anzai’s famous quote: “If you give up, the game is over right there.”

In the CM, they perform their first single after reuniting, “Hitoshizuku,” and many viewers were surely captivated by the unmistakable Aqua Timez vibe and the refreshing, pleasant melody line.

Especially for listeners born in the Heisei era, it may have brought back memories of frequently listening to their songs during their school days.

The ending of the CM also memorably shows the members toasting with Kaoru Ale.

The diary-like lyrics are gentle and fit Aqua Timez’s image very well, and I feel they really show their humanity.

Paired with an exciting sound and sung with a bouncy feel, this song makes me want to listen to it at the beginning of summer.

An emotional folk song.

While reflecting on a grandfather’s feelings—that no matter how old we get, understanding one another is difficult and parting is painful—the singer holds close the teaching that a man should be a protector of women, and sings with that ideal in his heart.

This song is about human weakness.

The lyrics say that people must live strongly.

Yet precisely because we’ve lived that way, we end up crying when someone treats us kindly.

Though the heart is fragile, we always walk with our heads held high, living so we can be proud of ourselves.

It’s a song that is both vulnerable and powerful.

Poem of Parting -still connected-Aqua Timez

Included on the 2009 album “Utai Sarishi Hana.” March ending theme for Nippon TV’s “Rajikaru.” A five-piece rock band formed in 2003.

The uptempo rock beat and aggressively played melody line underpin a vocal performance that really hits you in the chest.
