This work blends the nostalgic timbre of the kalimba with a refined band sound, creating a wistful yet translucent atmosphere.

Released by the rock band Galileo Galilei in June 2011, it is still beloved by many.

Chosen as the opening theme for the anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, which became a social phenomenon, it harmonizes perfectly with the series’ world and adds depth to its story.

The lyrics portray memories of days gone by and the bonds with cherished friends, evoking nostalgic scenes like turning the pages of a photo album.

Goodbyekariyushi 58

Among Kariyushi58’s songs, this is one of my favorites.

When I first listened to it, I felt it was a real anthem of youth.

In the music video, there’s a scene where the vocalist, Shingo Maekawa, is sitting on a classroom desk, looking as if he’s wistfully reflecting on his youth—an image that sticks in my mind and is one of my favorite moments.

Listening to the song makes me nostalgic for my student days and makes me want to go back.

Macaroni Enpitsu is a rock band immensely popular among younger generations, and among their songs is one that’s perfect for marking graduation.

Set to a driving, emotional sound, it sings of the irreplaceable value of days that might seem boring.

The song suggests that those ordinary moments were, in hindsight, shining treasures.

Released in March 2019 as a McDonald’s commercial tune, it was also included on the mini-album “season.” Because youth vanishes in a flash once it’s gone, its message—to love every bit of it—stirs a sentimental feeling in those on the brink of graduation.

Layer it over photos of memories with friends, and this piercing rock tune will remind you of how precious those taken-for-granted days truly were.

As a youth anthem perfect for summer, this song continues to be loved by many.

Created by RADWIMPS, it’s also well known as the theme song for the blockbuster 2016 animated film “Your Name.” The lyrics, carried by a driving, exhilarating melody, convey the powerful feelings of two people drawn together by fate since long ago and the earnest determination to overcome any obstacle to find each other.

Just listening to it brings the film’s story back to life and is sure to stir your heart.

It will give you courage when you’re thinking of someone special or striving toward your dreams.

Youth can be fun, but it’s also a time when worries tend to pile up—about studying, sports, and romance.

That’s why I want you to listen to “hurray.” It’s a song written by Yabai T-Shirts Yasan as an insert track for a morning drama.

Repeating the phrase “hurray” from the title, it’s crafted to cheer on anyone giving their best.

At the same time, it stands out for its detailed portrayal of students’ inner feelings.

I’m sure you’ll relate to it too.
