Smartphone Magic

With a magic trick that uses your smartphone’s calculator, you can perform anytime, anywhere! All you need to do to set up is press “number,” “+,” “0,” and “×.” Then, enter a number again and, while making a gesture as if you’re picking up and eating something, slide your finger across the screen—the digits will disappear one by one.
Note that this feature is available only on iPhones! If you plan to borrow someone’s phone to perform it, make sure to check in advance who’s using an iPhone.
Magic where a card passes through the table

This is a penetration magic trick using playing cards performed with a glass table.
A card that was on top of the table seems to pass right through it, so if you pull it off, you’re sure to get a round of applause.
Of course, the card isn’t actually penetrating the table.
At the moment you cover the card on top with your hand, you press a single card—secretly taken from the packet you’ve positioned under the table—against the underside of the tabletop.
Then you retrieve the card from above and let the card underneath drop, creating the illusion.
This trick requires you to learn a grip called a “break,” so give it some practice.
Floating rubber band

A mysterious rubber band floating in midair… Of course, it’s not telekinesis—there’s a proper trick to it.
All you need is a rubber band and a thin, transparent elastic.
The transparent elastic is sold as a magic prop.
Hook the transparent elastic onto the palm of one hand, and you’re ready.
Place the rubber band on top of it, then pull them together, and it will look as if the band is floating.
If you choose a highly transparent, thin elastic, the method will be completely invisible to your audience.
After that, it’s just a matter of practicing so you don’t fumble!

A magic trick where a cut banknote returns to its original state

If you place an intact 10,000-yen bill in an envelope and cut through the middle of the envelope with scissors, the bill inside should be cut as well.
But astonishingly, in this magic trick, a 10,000-yen bill emerges unharmed from the envelope that’s been cut in half.
All you need for the trick are a 10,000-yen bill, an envelope, and scissors.
The difficulty is easy, and you should be able to do it right away.
A magic trick where a smartphone goes inside a balloon

The magic trick where a smartphone goes inside a balloon sounds so fun, doesn’t it? With this one, after inflating the balloon, you just press the phone against it, and somehow the phone ends up inside the balloon.
It’s guaranteed to make people watching go, “Wait, what!?” The secret lies in how you insert the phone into the balloon, and once you see the reveal, you can’t help but be convinced by how simple it is.
Show it off at a party or a get-together, and the atmosphere will instantly liven up.
With practice, you might even become the center of attention!
Sticky disposable chopsticks

Disposable chopsticks that stick to your hand and won’t come off! The secret behind this magic trick is very simple.
Attach a tag that says something like “Otemoto” (a common label on chopstick sleeves) to the chopstick wrapper.
When you do, leave a small part unglued so it can be pinched lightly.
By holding that unglued section between your fingers, it looks as if the chopsticks are sticking to your hand.
Since this requires prep in advance, you might panic if someone hands you the restaurant’s chopsticks and says, “Try it with these!” (laughs).
In that case, keep the energy up with some patter or switch to a different trick to play it off!
A coin instantly teleports from the performer’s hand to the back of the spectator’s hand.

This magic trick makes a coin that should have been held in the performer’s hand vanish and, before anyone realizes it, appear in the spectator’s hand.
The key elements are how you hold the coin and how you direct the audience’s gaze; getting them to discover the coin in an unexpected place leads to big reactions.
Use the performer’s eye line and movements to draw strong attention to the hand that isn’t holding the coin and divert awareness away from the hand that is.
It’s also crucial to guide the spectator on how to move their hand so they won’t notice the coin being placed on the back of it.
