Bell sounds. Sound effects and soothing ambient sounds.
I’ve gathered a variety of bell sounds, from the tones of large temple and shrine bells to bells from churches overseas.
The resonant ringing is both gentle and majestic, creating a richly solemn atmosphere.
Simply listening can be soothing, making it ideal for healing and relaxation.

Bell sounds. Sound effects and soothing ambient sounds (11–20)
Old pendulum clock: tick-tock, bong-bong (sound effect)

This recording captures the chime tones of what sounds like a high-end pendulum clock.
In addition to the chimes, the ticking of the swinging pendulum is also included, effectively conveying the clock’s solemn atmosphere.
The sound is quite loud and striking, so it could work well in horror scenes, too.
Big Ben strikes 12 (Good quality sound)

This piece features chime tones with a decidedly luxurious style.
The scale itself is the same as the start-of-day bell used in schools and offices, but it has a far more overwhelming sense of gravitas than what we usually hear.
It’s a work filled with a sacred atmosphere that makes you want to straighten your posture.
CHURCH BELL SOUND EFFECT IN HIGH QUALITY

This work captures the sound of a large bell ringing from a high place.
It includes the pitch and tone that anyone would associate with a bell, making it the first sound effect to choose when you want an orthodox bell tone.
As the title suggests, its selling point is high quality.
OM CHANTING WITH TEMPLE BELLS

It’s a video featuring various tones of bells ringing along with a man’s prayerful voice that seems suited for yoga or meditation.
At first it feels somewhat heavy, like sound effects, but as you keep listening, your body naturally begins to relax—a strange, addictive quality.
Temple Bell Sound Effect Sound Effect 27

It has the tone of bells you might hear at a Western church.
The performance resembles a school start-of-day bell, and listening to it may evoke a sense of nostalgia.
Since it’s a field recording, you can hear the bustle of people, and the sound is also biased toward the left side.
Temple bell sound

This work captures scenes of a temple/shrine.
It includes a shot of a monk ringing a bell, allowing listeners to immerse themselves more vividly in the bell’s tone.
As for the camerawork, it has the drawback of significant shakiness, making it somewhat hard to watch.

[Sound effect] Bell chime 01 (softer/low pitch)
![[Sound effect] Bell chime 01 (softer/low pitch)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/yhF2Wd9J7aA/sddefault.jpg)
It features recordings of bell tones at a slightly lower pitch.
Since it contains very little reverb, it seems suitable for situations where you don’t want a long tail.
The playback time is quite short even for a sound effect, but a notable characteristic is that the loop points are hard to detect even when played repeatedly.
