Magic tricks you can perform at a birthday party: classic crowd-pleasers and surprise acts (11–20)
Magic Circle Magic

It’s a magic trick where you instantly break down a number suggested by the audience and write it out.
For example, if the number is 35, you split it into four numbers like “7, 2, 17, 9” or “12, 14, 3, 6.” Anyone can do it if they think about it, but producing it in an instant is the impressive part.
What’s more, you write out four such groups of numbers, and no matter how you add them—by rows, columns, diagonals, the four corners, or the center number—they always total 35.
To pull off this trick, you need to memorize a base set of numbers.
Conversely, once you memorize that, you can instantly break down any number they give you!
A card revelation with a captivating way of playing the cards

You have someone choose a card, put it back into the deck as is, and shuffle.
The amazing thing about this trick is how stylishly that one card is revealed—it’s almost artistic.
Saying “I picked it by the feel of my fingertips,” you split the deck as if cutting it in two, and a single card pops out from there.
This trick looks cool, and I’m sure it will amaze people.
Dream Balloon

This is a magic trick where, after casting a spell on an envelope, balloon cards with messages come out.
Place the balloon cards in the back pocket of the envelope and take them out one by one.
The key is to hide the cards on the back of the envelope so that the slit isn’t visible.
Each time a balloon appears, open the envelope to show the audience that there’s nothing inside.
For the finale, take out a card with a celebratory birthday message, such as “Congratulations.” It’s a heartwarming trick that builds a festive mood for the birthday star, along with the surprise of balloons appearing one after another.
Age-guessing calculation magic

It’s a magic trick where you guess someone’s age after they pick a favorite number from 1 to 9.
By adding, multiplying, and subtracting specific numbers from their chosen number, you end up with a three-digit number.
The hundreds digit will be the number they first chose, and the last two digits will be their age.
The video is the 2024 version, so you’ll need to adjust the numbers to match the year, but it’s a fun trick—be sure to learn it and show it off! Note that it doesn’t work for ages 100 and above, so keep that in mind.
A magic trick where a smartphone goes inside a balloon

This is a magic trick where you take a smartphone out of a balloon again.
By borrowing the guest’s smartphone, you can heighten the celebratory mood for the birthday star.
Lightly inflate the balloon and position the phone beneath it.
As you slowly let the air out, perform a motion as if you’re pushing the phone into the balloon.
The key is to make it look like the balloon is tightly clinging to the phone.
Let one corner of the phone stick slightly out of the balloon, making it appear as though you’re pulling the phone out from inside.
Finally, show that the balloon has no holes to deliver a surprise.
If you perform this at a birthday party, it will surely capture everyone’s attention.
Card magic that can convey a message

Let me introduce a magic trick that lets you move someone with a message hidden in a card! You only need three playing cards, so if you’re hesitant about tricks that use a lot of cards, definitely give this one a try.
Prepare one card with your written message, plus one “win” card and one “lose” card.
With this trick, the key is how you perform using these three cards, so practice how you present it to your spectator.
Why not put a message you don’t usually get to say into the magic and perform it?

The answer is always 3!? A mysterious calculation

Have the audience think of a favorite number, then follow your instructions to calculate.
First, add 1 to the number they thought of.
Next, double that result and then add 4.
After that, divide by 2, and finally subtract the original number they thought of… Did the answer come out to 3? With this curious calculation, no matter what number they start with, if they follow the steps correctly, they will always end up with 3.
Since the audience likely doesn’t know it will be 3, reveal that you had predicted the number after they get their answer to amaze them.
