Metric is an indie rock band based in Toronto.

Turn The SeasonFucked Up
A band with a blatantly broadcast-prohibited name, Fucked Up (lol).
You can probably guess from the fact that they went out of their way to use a name like this, but they’re a full-on hardcore band.
However, the reason this band has earned worldwide acclaim isn’t just their hardcore spirit.
As you can hear on Turn The Season, the vocals are nothing but relentless yelling (lol), yet the overall sound is a straightforward rock sound reminiscent of the Pixies.

Propagandhi is a band that commands near-reverential respect in the underground punk scene.

They’re a minor band not only in Japan but even in Canada; nonetheless, you can’t talk about the Canadian punk scene without mentioning Propagandhi.
Painful ReminderSNFU
SNUF is a legendary hardcore punk band from Vancouver.
As an ’80s hardcore band, they’re known for ultra-fast beats paired with melodies that even evoke a sense of poignancy.
Their sound, which balances intensity with catchiness, was carried on by later punk bands, and some say it sparked the melodic hardcore boom (what’s called “melocore” in Japan).
While they aren’t widely known to the general public, it’s fair to say their impact on the music world is immeasurable.
Jealous (I Ain’t With It)Chromeo
Chromeo is a duo band from Montreal.
Rather than a rock band, they’re more of a disco band.
