Snap change

Do you know the snap change? The snap change is a move where a card instantly changes when you flick it with your fingers.
The trick is quite simple.
First, take two cards.
Make the audience think it’s only one card.
Hold the cards about a quarter of the way from the edge with your thumb, index finger, and middle finger.
Then slide your fingers as if pulling inward.
The face-up card will slip into your hand, and the second card should become the new face-up card.
The card that comes true as foretold

It’s the kind of card magic everyone has dreamed about at least once: the cards match a written prediction.
First, show the audience a piece of paper with a prediction on it—for example, “They’re all clubs.” Then shuffle the deck, take out about ten cards, and reveal that the prediction is correct.
Alternatively, you can include a single spade to make it seem like the prediction has failed, and then unfold the paper further to show an additional prediction.
Creating that contrast will give the trick even more impact.
A teleportation card magic trick called “Visitor.”

Introducing “The Visitor,” a foundational teleportation card trick.
First, separate four cards of the same value from the deck.
Next, split the deck into two packets and place two of the matching-value cards on top of each packet.
Then insert an easy-to-remember card between the two matching cards in one of the packets.
The card you inserted will then travel to the other packet.
The technique is somewhat intricate, but once mastered it can be applied to many other tricks.
It’s also a great routine for learning psychological misdirection.
Giant-Growing Card

There are many intriguing magic tricks involving the suits and numbers of playing cards, but this one makes the size of the cards themselves change in an instant.
First, prepare a mini-sized deck with a matching design and a deck twice its size, four magnetic discs, paper adhesive, and a black art sheet.
Then cut the label from the mini deck and attach it to the larger cards.
Separate the cards into face and back layers and peel them apart.
The setup is demanding, but it’s guaranteed to amaze.
Mastery of handling gimmick cards is also important, so take your time and work carefully!
Teleportation of cards

This is a magic trick using five playing cards.
Use red cards with similarly shaped numbers like 8 and 9, plus one black spade.
If you pre-bend the five cards a little to give them a crease, it makes flipping three at once look natural.
It works well whether you have a single spectator or a large crowd, so it’s great for a wide range of situations!
Number Guessing Card Magic

I’ll introduce a magic trick that uses playing cards to find a spectator’s chosen card.
This one requires almost no sleight of hand, so just learn the steps and practice to perform it smoothly.
First, have a spectator choose any card.
Return that card to the deck, then deal the cards onto the table one by one into three groups.
Ask the spectator to confirm which group contains their chosen card.
Repeat this process three times.
After the third round, the chosen card will inevitably end up in the middle of its group, so finish by making that card dramatically pop out to surprise your audience.
A magic trick that guesses a card using the spectator’s name

It’s perfect for when you want to ask someone’s name—a magic trick where you reveal a card using their name.
First, make three piles of eight cards each.
Then have a spectator choose one card, return it to its pile, and combine it with the other two piles before shuffling.
In reality, keep the order intact and set things up so the chosen card ends up in the 16th position.
After that, ask for the spectator’s name, create a 16-letter “spell” based on it, and turn over one card per letter—landing on the chosen card at the end.
