Magic to Excite Children’s Day: A Collection of Simple Trick Ideas (71–80)
Disposable chopsticks whose mark changes color

When you flick the disposable chopstick marked with a blue symbol, it instantly changes to a red symbol.
The red mark appears on both sides, but when you stroke the mark with your hand, it turns blue again.
The back side is blue as well.
This is a magic trick where a chopstick with a blue mark on the front and a red mark on the back is skillfully twisted to make it look as if both sides are the same color.
Trump from the mouth

This is the magic trick that magician Akira Fujii made famous on TV.
Playing cards overflow from the mouth.
It’s less of a “magic trick” and more about practicing a display technique.
You twist a stack of about ten cards skillfully to push them out from the top and bottom.
Practice is everything!
Newspaper Tree

By rolling up a sheet of newspaper, securing the bottom with cellophane tape, and making several cuts at the top to pull it out, the paper quickly stretches and spreads, turning into something that looks like a big tree.
It looks festive, and since all you need is newspaper and scissors, it’s easy to make.

Floating Magic

Even if you slowly let go of what you’re holding with both hands…it won’t fall to the ground! The trick is simple: attach clips to both ends of a slightly long piece of fishing line, fasten those clips to inconspicuous spots like your clothing pockets, then stick double-sided tape on the item you want to float and place it on the fishing line.
Eraser disappearance magic

This is a magic trick where, after signaling with a pencil to an eraser placed on your hand, the eraser seems to vanish from your hand in an instant.
The action of tapping and counting with the pencil is crucial; on the final signal, you quickly move the eraser.
Since you’re moving the eraser while being watched, be mindful of making the movement fast enough not to be noticed, as well as of your hand angle.
Rather than striking with just the pencil tip, it’s better to bump with your whole hand holding the pencil—this shortens the distance you need to move the eraser and is recommended.
Simple card magic

It’s a really simple magic trick, so adults might figure out the secret.
You hold the Ace of Diamonds in the middle of three cards, but after flipping it over once and showing it again, it appears as the Ace of Hearts.
The trick is just that you’re hiding the rounded part of the heart, so how about performing it for kids and then including the reveal to teach them the secret as a set?
Does the color of black tea change?

It’s a magic trick where the color changes when you pour the “tea” from a plastic bottle into a cup.
In fact, what’s in the bottle isn’t tea but diluted gargling solution, and there’s vitamin C powder at the bottom of the cup.
The iodine in the gargling solution undergoes a chemical reaction, causing the color to change.
