[Youth] A collection of songs you’ll want to listen to when retiring from your club (21–30)
Gray and Blue (+Masaki Suda)Yonezu Kenshi

Those joyful moments, those frustrating times… our memories with friends are inexhaustible no matter where you look.
“Gray and Blue” gives off a slightly dark vibe, but the emotions that explode in the chorus resonate powerfully in the heart.
Don’t those feelings overlap with how we feel about our friends? Even if parting is painful now, thinking that everyone is doing their best on their own path helps me face forward.
Bond.haji→

The friends who have struggled together through a tough club activity are bound by an incredibly strong bond, aren’t they? Even if you never imagined it at first, because you shared the same days and the same hardships, the bond that was born there will never be broken, no matter what happens.
The artist who sings this song that lets you feel that powerful bond with your teammates is the singer-songwriter Hajime (Haji→).
At some point, without needing words, you came to understand each other—that kind of relationship with your teammates.
Even after retiring from the club, graduating from school, and going your separate ways, it will never disappear.
This is a song that lets you always feel the presence of the friends who were by your side all along.
We AreONE OK ROCK

A song that gives you a heart that won’t yield to any hardship and the courage to stand up again and again: “We Are.” Released in 2017 on ONE OK ROCK’s album Ambitions, it was used as NHK’s soccer theme song.
The lyrics—crafted by ONE OK ROCK, who are active on the global stage—carry the power to support those about to fight and those on the verge of giving up.
If you listen to it at the moment your club activities, to which you’ve devoted your youth, come to an end, you’ll feel it’s not over yet—it’s just beginning.
You’re sure to feel that!
Someday, these tearsLittle Glee Monster

This song was chosen as the support song for the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament.
Performed by Little Glee Monster, known for their overwhelming vocal power, it’s a wholehearted cheer anthem.
How many tears have you shed while devoting yourself to one thing? Those tears are proof of how hard you worked.
‘Itsuka Kono Namida ga’ is a song that says, “It shines because there’s a process of hard work behind it.” It’s a track I want you to listen to while recalling the memories of your efforts.
road; way; path; street; route; Tao (in philosophy)GReeeeN

You are the protagonist of your own life, and since you only get one shot at it, I believe you should relentlessly pursue what you want to do.
GReeeeN’s major debut song, “Michi” (Road), is a track that affirms everything you’ve worked hard for and propels you forward.
The quiet flame of passion within the song is inspiring.
Even after retiring from your club activities and setting off on a new path, let’s use what we’ve learned as nourishment and keep moving ahead.
Thank youFUNKY MONKEY BABYS

When you retire, the one thing you mustn’t forget is to say “thank you” to the teammates and juniors who worked hard alongside you, the teachers who taught you so much, and the family who supported you.
There’s a Fankmon track that makes you realize that—and when you listen to it, it puts you in the right frame of mind to express your gratitude honestly.
This was Fankmon’s final single before they disbanded.
The song can be taken as a message of thanks from Fankmon to their fans.
In the end, the message they most wanted to convey was, after all, “thank you.” Try putting that into your own situation as you retire from your club activities, and when that day comes, make sure you express your gratitude clearly!
prideGReeeeN

Many of GReeeeN’s songs are ones that stay close to different pages of our youth.
This song is one of them—an anthem that cheers on your future after all the hard work you put into your club activities.
It’s included on the album with the very long title, commonly abbreviated as “Uta” (Song).
It was also chosen as the theme song for the 2012 summer high school baseball tournament.
I’m sure you carried a lot of worries and inner conflict during your club days.
Those feelings will definitely come again in life.
But because you worked so hard and got through those days in your club, this song makes you feel that you’ll be okay in the hardships to come, too!
