Bob James is a pianist, music producer, composer, and arranger from Missouri, USA.
He began playing piano at the age of four, won a jazz festival in 1962 with his trio, and was discovered by Quincy Jones.
His first album had a modern jazz sound, and Jones introduced him to the founder of CTI Records.
From around 1967, he participated as a player in recordings with various artists, and by composing and arranging, he played a key role during the crossover era.
His song Take Me to the Mardi Gras became well-known in Japan.

Deodato is a Brazilian musician, arranger, and keyboard player in the crossover/fusion genre.
He debuted in Brazil in 1964, and around 1967 he became known as a renowned arranger on jazz labels such as CTI.
In an era before the terms “crossover” and “fusion” even existed, his jazz-inflected arrangements of classical works became major hits.
His representative tracks include Also Sprach Zarathustra and Love Island.

Eric Clapton is a musician from Ripley, England, regarded as one of the world’s three greatest rock guitarists alongside Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, and also known by the nickname “Slowhand.” He began his career as a guitarist in the 1960s with bands such as the Yardbirds and Cream, and has released solo works since 1970.
He is a guitarist who helped forge crossover rock genres such as blues rock, folk rock, hard rock, and psychedelic rock.
He is known for signature songs including “Tears in Heaven,” “Change the World,” and “Layla.”

Limp Bizkit is a nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, USA, formed in 1995.
Their sound is characterized by nu metal, rapcore, rock, alternative, and metal.
Popular songs include Behind Blue Eyes, Take a Look Around, Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle), Break Stuff, and My Way.
They are well known for their contribution to the Mission: Impossible 2 movie soundtrack.

Mondo Grosso is a band formed in Kyoto in 1991, originating as a spinoff from Kyoto Jazz Massive.
The band’s name comes from Italian, meaning “big world.” Centered around club music, they have many crossover tracks spanning acid jazz, soul, hip-hop, bossa nova, and R&B, as well as music rooted in digital styles such as house, breakbeats, and techno.
Their sonic evolution, from a band to a solo project, is also wide-ranging.
