I was cute when I reincarnated.HONEY WORKS

Have you ever imagined that if you were reborn, you’d want to be someone cute or someone cool? HoneyWorks’ “If I Reincarnated, I’d Be Cute” depicts someone whose ideal actually comes true.
The story unfolds from the moment a person who used to be male is reborn as an unbelievably cute girl—exactly his type! You can feel how overjoyed they are from the sparkling, pop vibe of the melody.
Although the protagonist’s previous life was full of hardships, the song portrays them living very happily in their new life.
I wonder what the future will be like.Mitchie M

“What Will the Future Be Like,” produced in 2023 by Vocaloid producer Mitchie M—who has created numerous tracks for video games and commercials—is a song themed around past entries in the Pokémon series, incorporating sounds that sample in-game BGM and sound effects.
It portrays a forward-looking spirit moving toward the future, matching the game’s journey of continuing to travel while meeting many monsters.
This warm, electronica track conveys the friendships between the many Pokémon and their trainers as they appear one after another.

I will become the strongest.Ponchi♪

If you enjoy high-energy tracks, I recommend “Saikyo ni Naru no da.” This song is released by Ponchi, known both as a Vocaloid producer and a rhythm game composer.
Set to an intense melody, it features Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and Zundamon getting hyped and engaging in lively call-and-response.
Another highlight is its homage-like nods to “Dragostea Din Tei” (“Maiahi”) and the frequent key changes woven throughout.
Last Night, Good NightKz

It’s one of the landmark songs that supported the transitional period, created just before the explosion of popularity for VOCALOID—and more specifically, Hatsune Miku.
Many listeners likely first encountered it when it was ported to a rhythm game.
It’s a grand ballad with an incredibly satisfying, soaring chorus.
The ending is excellent as well.
Daydream Garden AddictioncosMo@Bousou-P

This is one of the pieces from cosMo (Bousou-P)’s Imaginary Garden series.
It was released in 2009.
The tumbling piano tones and powerful drum phrases leave a strong impression.
While the overall mood of the song is bright, the lyrics convey the protagonist’s longing to find a place to belong, which is bittersweet.
Once you realize that, you can feel something like an uncontrollable emotion welling up from deep within running through the entire track.
As it’s a highly story-driven work, I recommend enjoying it together with the other songs in the series.
Woke up at 4 PM.Kisara

Have you ever decided to wake up early on your day off, only to open your eyes and find it’s already evening? “Woke Up at 4 PM” sings about that almost hopeless situation.
It’s a song released by Kisara, notable for its catchy, pop sound.
What’s wonderful is how it accepts the reality of not waking up on time and then shifts to a positive mindset—thinking about how to make the most of the remaining time off.
I’m turning into a girl!Lamaze-P

“Hatsune Miku is bewildered that KAITO has turned into a girl.” That single sentence became a song as-is.
The track “Onnanoko ni Nacchau!” (“I’ll Turn Into a Girl!”) by Vocaloid producer Lamaze-P was released in August 2023.
Through social media posts and from friends, Miku learns that KAITO has become interested in “turning into a girl,” and the way her emotional turmoil unfolds is just so cute.
Of course, the song isn’t saying anything about becoming a girl itself; it’s about the experience of “someone you’ve known forever suddenly changing.” The back-and-forth among the Vocaloid characters gives the piece a touch that recalls the vibe of the old Vocaloid scene.
