Love Me Tonight (Love Me Tonight) / TOM JONES
Love Me TonightTom Jones

Tom Jones is a singer from Wales, United Kingdom.

With his dynamic, glamorous vocal style, he has been active since the mid-1960s.

In recent years, he boldly covered Prince’s Kiss, surprising longtime fans.

Love Me Tonight is a single released in 1969.

It’s a passionately insistent love song that became a big hit in Japan as well.

A Song For YouLeon Russell

Leon Russell – A Song For You (1970)
A Song For YouLeon Russell

Originally released in 1970 by American singer-songwriter Leon Russell, the song was later covered by many artists, including the Carpenters, and became a rock/pop standard.

In this version sung by the songwriter himself, his raspy voice and the piano that seems to cradle his vocals are deeply moving.

LatelyStevie Wonder

It’s Stevie Wonder’s “Lately.” It’s a song that captures a breakup from a man’s perspective.

If you listened to a song like this after a heartbreak, you might find yourself in tears.

Stevie’s melodic sense and vocal prowess are overwhelming.

He’ll surely encourage you, gently wrapping you in warmth.

Miss a ThingAerosmith

Aerosmith – I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing (Official HD Video)
Miss a ThingAerosmith

This song, which was featured in the movie Armageddon, is about wanting to stay awake and watch his girlfriend’s sleeping face right in front of him.

It might be a bit tough for a man in his fifties who’s tired from work and wants to go to bed early, but maybe he could manage it on the weekend.

Don’t CryASIA

This song is about something like, “She’s been through so much, and from now on I’ll always be there to support her.” Doesn’t it make you want to sing the phrase “Don’t cry” in the chorus? Women might just fall for a man with that kind of warmth and reliability.

Melody FairBee Gees

It’s a song that became a hit along with the film Melody (a.k.a.

“Melody: A Little Romance”).

Its gentle tone is completely different from the Bee Gees’ image as primarily disco musicians.

The breadth of the Bee Gees’ vocal range suits the style perfectly, making it a soothing track.

As I AmBilly Joel

Billy Joel – Just the Way You Are (Live 1977)
As I AmBilly Joel

Among Billy Joel’s many hit songs, this one has a gentle, mellow tone.

He wrote it for his wife at the time, and I’d love to see married men in their 50s dedicate it to their wives.

The chorus line, “I’ll take you just the way you are,” will surely make any wife swoon when she hears it.
