Forbidden Games — Romance de Amor

This is the main theme from the classic film of the same name, which won honors such as an Honorary Academy Award and the Golden Lion of St.

Mark at the Venice International Film Festival.

A guitar solo that depicts a tender, tragic love story set during wartime.

It is performed by the Spanish guitarist Narciso Yepes.

The guitar’s mournful tone mirrors the film and makes this a heartbreaking masterpiece.

Be the lightONE OK ROCK

This is the theme song for the 2013 CG-animated film Captain Harlock.

Included on ONE OK ROCK’s sixth album, the song was created to support recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Vocalist Taka, brimming with talent, said he wrote it “hoping the darkness many people face would turn into light,” a sentiment that shares a common theme with Captain Harlock, which is why it was chosen.

It’s truly a wonderful masterpiece.

This is the theme song of John Woo’s action film Red Cliff.

In keeping with the work, which is based on the Battle of Red Cliffs from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the piece features a bold yet lively tone.

Taro Iwashiro is a highly accomplished composer who has won the Japan Academy Prize multiple times for Japanese films, and he was featured alongside figures like Takeshi Kitano in Newsweek Japan’s “100 Japanese People the World Respects.”
