A single released in 1985.
A five-member music band formed in 1981.
Gota Yashiki, who later joined Simply Red, was among the members.
It’s a track characterized by a techno-style sound that makes extensive use of synthesizers, reminiscent of YMO, and buoyant female vocals.
Cut OffMELT-BANANA

Included on the 1994 album “Speak Squeak Creak.” A two-piece alternative rock band from Tokyo that debuted in 1994.
The uptempo, unfolding rhythms, the noisy guitar tones, and the boldly avant-garde sound can be quite surprising to hear.
GET A CHANCE!!NORMA JEAN

Included on the 1990 album “FREE MARKET.” A five-member all-girl rock band that made their major-label debut in 1990.
They came from the TV show “Miyake Yūji’s Ikasu Band Tengoku,” where they won the Ikaten King title during their appearance.
This track features a simple, straightforward rock melody and a powerful vocal performance that come together nicely.
DiamondsPRINCESS PRINCESS

Included on the 1988 album “LET’S GET CRAZY.” Used in a Sony “audio tape” commercial.
A five-member girls’ rock band formed in 1983.
The upbeat, brightly unfolding rhythm and the positive, catchy pop melody paired with soulful vocals will lift your spirits.
RASPBERRY DREAMREBECCA

Included on the 1993 album “REBECCA SINGLES 1984-1990.” Used in a Lion “Page One Facial Wash” commercial.
A four-member rock band that debuted in 1984.
It’s a cool track featuring NOKKO’s powerful vocals riding an upbeat, driving rhythm and a positive, straightforward rock sound.
