List of Free-Admission Festivals in the Kanto Region [2026]

This is a free outdoor festival produced by VIVA LA ROCK, a music festival originating in Saitama. In 2026, due to the relocation of the main event venue, it will be held at the Saitama Stadium 2002 Park South Plaza and the Daimon Kamiike Regulating Pond Plaza. In addition to music on the GARDEN STAGE, there will be a gathering of attractions for all ages, including festival food booths, a giant inflatable dome, a mascot character show, and a Tyrannosaurus race. With the aim of bringing the joy of festivals to future music fans, it will take place in May 2026.

“Meat Festival” is a food-culture fest for meat lovers, by meat lovers, where you can enjoy meat dishes along with live music, DJs, and dance. Set in Todoroki Ryokuchi Park in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, the event features around thirty meat-centric vendors from across Japan, plus a variety of programs such as artist performances and dance contests on a special stage. Craft beer and sweets are also available, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it easy for families and friends to drop by. It will be held during the Children’s Day holiday in May 2026.

Now in its 23rd year in 2026, this is one of the largest Okinawan culture festivals in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Centered around La Cittadella in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, it showcases the many charms of Okinawa under the open sky—from gourmet food stalls and music festivals to free outdoor concerts and traditional performing arts like Eisa. The official theme is the “Okinawa Grand Cultural Festival,” and the music festival featuring artists such as Kazufumi Miyazawa and Masaru Shimabukuro (BEGIN) is a highlight. In May 2026, the entire area around Kawasaki Station will be awash in all things Okinawa.

The Kamakura Petit Rock Festival is an outdoor live music event without electricity that has been running since 2014. Held at Yuigahama Seaside Park, attendees can enjoy up-close, unplugged performances while feeling the sea breeze. Aiming to provide a space to experience music itself up close—rather than music as branded consumption—diverse artists, both famous and unknown, perform simultaneously across multiple sites. Admission is free, making it easy for everyone from children and local residents to tourists to drop by. Scheduled for May 2026.
