By “interesting,” we don’t just mean laugh-out-loud funny—we’ve also picked MVs that are fascinating from a visual production standpoint.

From laugh-out-loud to creative masterpieces, all in one place! A roundup of fun music videos (71–80)
Ms. YoshikoKuwata Keisuke

Mr.
Kuwata’s lyrics are pretty chaotic, but the music video is an equally chaotic stew that refuses to be outdone.
Where are we even supposed to start poking fun at it? It’s astounding that a musician who fits such a provocative world so well is already past sixty.
Maybe it’s also a message to the younger generation: it’s okay to cut loose and be even freer.
Cafe de Oni (Faces and Science)Denki Gurūvu

This is Denki Groove’s “Cafe de Oni (Face and Science).” It’s a very old track, but the music video was released on November 17, 2016.
November 17 is said to be “Oni Day,” designated by Denki Groove, and the video was released to coincide with it.
For reference, it was set because on November 17, 1990, during the recording, they supposedly said the word “oni” dozens of times.
Suspense TheaterSEX MACHINEGUNS

This is “Suspense Theater” by SEX MACHINEGUNS.
The band has a lot of fun music videos, but this one might be the best.
ANCHANG plays a master detective who uncovers the true identity of a female phantom thief.
The lyrics are amusing too, so it’s a PV you’ll want to watch with the words in mind.

besties foreverShinsei Kamattechan

This is “Zutto Tomodachi” by Shinsei Kamattechan.
The theme feels like “an overwhelmingly beautiful world of love between boys.” It’s a love story between the vocalist, Noko, and Tom Fujita, with both of them in sailor uniforms.
There are also some rather risqué scenes, making it a PV with a strange atmosphere where you’re not sure whether to laugh or take it seriously.
JOYYU-KI

It’s YUKI’s ‘JOY.’ A lot of people wearing very strange masks appear and dance all at once, and the choreography is quite distinctive.
The unique dancing—like the ‘NO MORE Eiga Dorobo’ piracy warning that plays before movies—is really fun.
YUKI dances too.
In conclusion
We introduced a wide range of interesting music videos, from laugh-out-loud humorous ones to highly polished works that stand on their own as visual pieces with unique expressions.
The lineup included everything from creations by popular video creators to works the artists themselves were involved in, and each one was crafted with care, letting you feel the artist’s and song’s world.
Of course the music is great, but from now on, let’s enjoy the visuals together with it too!
