I am a cat’s eye.Shiina Ringo

Ringo Sheena, also known as the vocalist of Tokyo Jihen.
The song “Watashi wa Neko no Me” (I Am a Cat’s Eye) was written with a collaboration in mind with keyboardist BIGYUKI and others.
“Cat’s eye” has long been known as an expression describing how a woman’s feelings change rapidly.
In the lyrics, it’s used to depict an elusive, hard-to-grasp woman.
Another interesting point is the heavy use of words containing the character for “eye” (me), creating internal rhymes.
You’ll be surprised at just how many such words appear.
In conclusion

There are plenty of other wonderful songs too, so be sure to give them a listen.
