Crimson Bow and ArrowLinked Horizon

Linked Horizon / Guren no Yumiya with lyrics
Crimson Bow and ArrowLinked Horizon

This song is a track by Linked Horizon that was used as the first opening theme for the first season of the anime Attack on Titan.

The attempt to include the name of Eren Yeager, the protagonist of Attack on Titan, in the lyrics, as well as the incorporation of German in various parts, makes it rather unusual for an anime song, doesn’t it?

HEROMONKEY MAJIK

This song is MONKEY MAJIK’s 16th single, chosen as the image song for the Japanese Red Cross Society’s “Hatachi no Ketsueki” blood donation campaign, and the members appeared in the commercial alongside golfer Ryo Ishikawa.

With a melody characteristic of MONKEY MAJIK, its slightly wistful tone evokes a sense of a hero’s loneliness.

Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!)SPYAIR

Released as SPYAIR’s fourth single, it was used as the ending theme for the first season of the TV anime Gintama.

MOMIKEN, who wrote the lyrics, said he infused it with the message: “Including your timid side, you have no choice but to live while loving yourself.”

HEROtacica

It portrays a painful figure gradually being wounded in everyday life, with anxiety mounting inside, and, when it becomes unbearable, pleading for help from an unseen hero.

It’s a heartrending, agonizing song in which the desire for someone’s help grows steadily throughout the track.

HeroUrufuruzu

It’s a song about a hero image within ourselves that, unlike the usual ideal, is awkward and human, yet somehow we can’t help but admire.

It vividly portrays a hero who’s gritty and a bit uncool but strangely cool—an image that only Ulfuls could express so well.
