[October] Fun! Halloween Masks Roundup (11–20)
Michael

Michael Myers, commonly known as Michael, is a killer who appears in the 1978 film Halloween.
His mask—featuring pale white skin and drooping eyes—gives a distinctly eerie impression, making it a great choice for a Halloween mask.
At the same time, compared to other Halloween masks with protruding eyes or covered in blood, Michael’s mask is a bit more subdued in its scariness.
For that reason, it might be a good option in situations where you want to tone down the horror vibe, such as around people who aren’t fond of scary stuff, or in environments with children or older adults.
Glowing mask

This glowing skull mask is perfect for nighttime costume parties.
Made from stretchy fleece, it fits snugly to your face.
Insert two AAA batteries inside the mask and the skull lights up in response to sounds and voices.
The way it flickers on and off in time with eerie fluorescent tones is pure horror.
You’re sure to stand out even at a Halloween party overflowing with flashy costumes! Why not incorporate glowing elements into your outfit and coordinate your look from head to toe?
Stone Mask

The Stone Mask is, quite literally, a mask made of stone that appears in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Characterized by its pointed teeth and sharp gaze, the mask becomes even more striking when a blood-red stone is attached to the forehead, instantly turning it into a perfect Halloween accessory.
Incidentally, this blood-like red color alludes to the “blood ritual” depicted in the story—an element tied to the idea of evolving humans—so it’s sure to be a hit, especially if you’re with fellow JoJo fans!
Prajna (wisdom)

A hannya with two long golden horns growing from its head, expressing a woman’s resentment and jealousy.
The hannya mask version gives a very frightening impression just by putting it on, so it’s often used on variety shows and the like.
However, hannya masks often have little interior space and can feel quite constricting.
If you place some fabric inside to create space under the mask, or make small holes to make breathing easier, it becomes even more comfortable to use!
Mask of Emptiness

The “Hollow,” an evil spirit appearing in the popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga BLEACH, is also a great character for a Halloween mask, characterized by its fangs that jut out around the nose.
Since the series ended quite a while ago, it’s gotten hard to find this character’s mask on the market.
That’s why making one yourself with super glue and spray paint is recommended.
There are tutorial videos on sites like YouTube, so why not try making one by following those guides?
Construction paper skull mask

Let’s try making a three-dimensional skull mask using the downloaded template.
After cutting out each piece according to the template, crease the fold lines well and glue the parts together.
Once you’ve assembled all the pieces and attached the head strap, it’s complete.
Since the mask is divided into upper and lower sections, you can wear just one of them if you like.
Add cracks and grime for a more realistic skull! Be careful not to use too much glue, as excess can smear and make it messy.
Apply a small amount and spread it with a toothpick as you work.
In conclusion
I think we’ve got a wonderfully varied lineup! From authentic, cool masks to cute ones—you’ll be spoiled for choice deciding what to get! You could also use my DIY video as a reference and try making your own original mask!
