[Birthday] Handmade decoration ideas using construction paper (11–20)
Mickey & Minnie Mouse paper chain

These Mickey & Minnie Mouse paper chains are perfect for a child’s or friend’s birthday party—especially if they love Mickey or Minnie! Let’s turn classic looped paper garlands into Mickey & Minnie versions.
For the Mickey version, add loops that resemble his ears and red shorts; for the Minnie version, just add ribbon accents and polka-dot loops to capture her look.
You can hang them vertically or horizontally—either works! Adjust the decoration style to suit your room’s size and vibe.
Heart mobile

This is a mobile made of overlapping hearts—so cute! It’s nice and easy to make by bundling and layering strips of construction paper and stapling them together.
All strips are 2 cm wide.
Prepare three strips that are 18 cm long, two that are 24 cm, two that are 30 cm, and two that are 36 cm.
Stack them in order from the longest to the shortest, flip the stack over, place the shortest strip on top, then stack again from the longest to the shortest, and staple the ends.
Curl the bundled strips inward one by one from the outside, staple the ends again, and adjust the shape.
Punch a hole in the top of the shortest strip in the middle, thread fishing line through, and you’re done.
The red and white hearts pop beautifully and brighten up the room.
Heart paper fan

This is a heart-shaped paper fan you can easily make with a single sheet of construction paper.
If you love hearts or are planning a birthday party for someone special, why not try making one by hand? Cut a sheet of colored construction paper in half, trim it into an oval, then accordion-fold it.
Fold it in half from the center, and it turns into a heart! The finer the accordion folds, the smoother the heart will look, so give it a try.
To finish, clip the seam at the back to secure it, and you’re done! It’s perfect not only for birthday party decorations but also as a charming addition to a gift.
birthday cake

This is a wall decoration of a birthday cake that will get kids excited.
It’s convenient to use free downloadable templates linked in the video description.
Use cream, white, and red construction paper to create the basic cake shape, and make the strawberries by sticking white dots onto red paper.
Don’t forget the colorful candles and the chocolate plaque on top.
It’s a small detail, but adding yellow inside the candle flames and writing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” on the chocolate will make it look festive and really boost the birthday mood!
Poké Ball placemat

Decorations themed around Pokémon, a character popular with both boys and girls, are also recommended.
Start with a Monster Ball (Poké Ball) placemat made from construction paper.
You can easily make the circular shape using plates or cups as templates.
There are different versions of the Poké Ball, such as yellow and black or red and white, so choose your favorite.
For the pattern, paste cut pieces of colored paper like yellow, red, and black.
Also, if you print character faces on film label stickers and stick them onto clear cups, it looks stylish and kids will love it.
Enjoy a party that’s sure to boost everyone’s excitement!
