Pikachu paper fan

[Pokemon Decoration] How to Make a Pikachu Paper Fan

Paper fans are essential for decorations.

It’s great how simple yet eye-catching they are.

Since the theme this time is Pokémon, here’s a Pikachu idea.

You’ll need three sheets of yellow B5 construction paper, and one sheet each of black, red, and white.

For the base, take two yellow sheets, accordion-fold them, connect them, tie the center with clear fishing line, then spread it into a circle and secure it.

Punch a hole at the top and thread another piece of fishing line for hanging.

Cut out the ears, eyes, mouth, and other parts from the remaining papers and glue them on to finish.

Pikachu’s ears are long, so insert a bamboo skewer into the base and attach the ear parts on top of it.

Monster Ball paper fan

A classic decoration! Let’s make a Poké Ball with paper fans.

Accordion-fold two sheets of construction paper, then glue the ends together to form a loop and tie the center with fishing line.

Open it into a circle and glue the necessary points to hold the shape.

Attach parts cut from another sheet of paper, add fishing line or string for hanging, and you’re done! The basic method is the same for any kind of Poké Ball, so feel free to create your favorite design.

If you also make character-design paper fans and display them together, your room will instantly take on a Pokémon theme!

Pokémon Party Cup

[How-To] Perfect for events and birthday parties! DIY Pokémon-style party cups
Pokémon Party Cup

Why not try making handmade Pokémon party cups that will be a huge hit at a birthday party? Believe it or not, they’re easy to make using round stickers! The designs introduced here are five types: Pikachu, Mewtwo, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Gengar.

For all of them, you create the characters’ distinctive eyes by cutting round stickers or using them as-is.

The mouth and nose are drawn directly on the cup with a pen.

They’re complete once you fill them with drinks in each character’s color, so don’t forget to prepare those too!

I want to make wall decorations of various characters…

but I’m bad at drawing, so I’ve given up.

For anyone who feels the same, here’s a recommended method for making wall decorations.

Prepare a printout of your favorite character at actual size, colored construction paper, a ballpoint pen, a craft knife, and glue.

Place the printout on top of the colored paper that will serve as the character’s base color, and trace the illustration lines with the ballpoint pen.

This way, the pressure from your pen transfers the line art onto the colored paper.

Using the same method, create the eyes and patterned parts with their respective colored papers and cut them out.

Once all the parts are ready, glue them together and you’re done!

Cake toppers that can be placed directly on birthday cakes are popular decorative items.

While there are store-bought options, some people may want to make them with their favorite characters.

You will need a design app and a printer, but if you have them, definitely try making one by hand.

Feel free to design it by lining up popular characters or combining them with numbers and messages.

After printing, reinforce it with lamination, attach it to a thin stick, and it’s ready to use.

Pokémon Surprise Box

A surprise box that you can open with excitement, wondering what’s inside.

The outermost box is designed like a Poké Ball.

Open the lid and Pokémon sweets appear.

Open further and you’ll find cards and other delightful Pokémon gifts.

Then, when you open the final lid that’s sealed with tape, something pops out with a burst of energy.

It’s like a jack-in-the-box, but a truly wonderful surprise.

A surprise box is actually easy to make: stack a few boxes with their four corners cut so they can unfold, attach sweets and gifts inside, and finish with a lid.

Garlands are a classic decoration! They’re a must-have when taking photos.

This one is a “Poke-Letter Garland.” The letters in “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” are designed with Poké Balls and Pokémon characters.

You can buy garlands like this in stores, but since there are so many Pokémon, the store-bought versions might not feature your favorite characters.

In that case, try making a handmade Poke-Letter Garland.

If you have a design app and a printer, you should be able to make one.

When it comes to eye-catching decorations, balloons are the go-to, right? But balloon art can be surprisingly tricky for beginners—it’s scary when they pop.

In that case, try creating decorations by covering a base with inflated balloons.

Here’s a balloon display inspired by a Poké Ball.

There are many ready-made balloon stands available, so using one makes it easy.

Prepare balloons in Poké Ball colors and decorate the stand while keeping the balance in mind.

A piñata is a decorative ball filled with candy and small gifts that you break open with a stick.

It’s a beloved tradition in Mexico, and lately it’s been showing up more often at children’s events in Japan too.

One of the big appeals of piñatas is that you can customize the design.

So when celebrating a Pokémon fan, try making one inspired by a Poké Ball.

After assembling the outer shell by gluing together cut pieces of cardboard, decorate it with the familiar red-and-white design.

Don’t forget to add an opening to retrieve the treats and a string for hanging.

Poké Ball placemat

How to Create a Pokémon Party! Decorations for a Birthday Party That Kids Will Love – Pokémon Party Edition / decorate / Pokémon
Poké Ball placemat

With Poké Ball placemats, your party will instantly feel a notch more special! This idea is easy: cut construction paper into a circle and a long rectangle, then glue them together.

While a standard Poké Ball uses red, white, and black, there are also options like Ultra Balls and Great Balls, so feel free to use your favorite colors.

Since plain construction paper isn’t very sturdy and can be ruined by spilled drinks, we recommend laminating the placemats.
