pirate hat

Thanks to the popularity of pirate-themed anime, pirates are familiar to people of all ages.
So let’s make a pirate hat that parents and children—or even grandparents and grandchildren—can enjoy wearing together.
Fold a quarter-size sheet of construction paper in half, then cut the tip on the side opposite the crease.
The part you cut off at the tip will become the hat’s brim.
For a stylish touch, cut it into a wavy shape.
Fold and shape it so it becomes a three-dimensional hat.
Add decorations like a skull or feathers, and it’s complete.
Pirates may have a scary image, but wearing this hat creates a friendly, cheerful atmosphere.
Wolf hat

Speaking of stories with wolves, there are ones like “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” and “Little Red Riding Hood,” right? Here’s a perfect hat for pretend play featuring a wolf.
We’ll make a bold hat from construction paper that forms the wolf’s face.
The key is to use brown and white sheets back-to-back.
This way, the eye and nose area folds in brown, while the mouth area folds in white.
Once you’ve folded the face, cut the teeth into a jagged shape.
Of course, you can make the teeth from the white part of the paper.
Attach the eyes and an elastic band, and you’re done.
Wearing the wolf hat during tag would make things extra exciting, too!
chonmage hat

A chonmage hairstyle with both sides shaved and the hair tied in the center looks gallant.
In the Edo period, it’s said that children would tie their hair in a chonmage at age 15 as a coming-of-age ritual.
Today, kids with a chonmage look charming, don’t they? Let’s make a cute-looking chonmage hat out of construction paper.
Make a loop with black construction paper and attach rectangular pieces of yellow or pale orange paper.
Then add more black paper to assemble it.
Roll up black paper to form the topknot, place it on top, and you’re done.
This chonmage hat is great for kids at home and also recommended for adults to use at parties.
Donald’s hat

Donald Duck is one of Disney’s most popular characters.
He’s adorable in his nautical outfit with a blue hat and blue clothes.
Let’s make a hat like Donald’s using construction paper.
Prepare blue or light blue construction paper cut into a circle and a rectangle.
Add a black stripe to the rectangular piece using construction paper.
Combine the two pieces and attach a ribbon to finish.
On the rectangular piece, make a slit on the side opposite the black stripe; this will make it easier to attach to the circular piece.
With this, you can enjoy Disney character pretend play right at home.
party hat

Time spent partying and having fun together at home, events, and celebrations is always so enjoyable, isn’t it? Here’s a perfect craft for that warm, cheerful atmosphere: party hats made from construction paper.
Fold colored construction paper into a fan shape with accordion creases, then cut it.
Turn the fanned paper into a cone to form the main body of the hat.
Attach a brim made from construction paper in your preferred shape and color, and you’re done.
For Christmas, use red or green to make a Santa hat or a tree hat.
Try changing the paper colors to match your event.
