HEY-SMITH’s Classic and Popular Songs (1–10)
Truth InsideHEY-SMITH

A track from the 4th album “STOP THE WAR.” It incorporates black metal elements.
I think it’s a song where you can discover another side of HEY-SMITH that’s neither melodic nor guitar rock.
Also check out the music video, which features footage from live houses across the various tour stops.
2nd youthHEY-SMITH

A track from “STOP THE WAR.” With its choppy ska rhythm on guitar that makes you want to start two-stepping, it’s a live-show staple.
The fusion of horns and rock is just fantastic! As the title suggests, it’s a song that captures a second shot at youth.
DRUG FREE JAPANHEY-SMITH

Included on the 1st album “14 -Fourteen-,” this is a classic from their demo days and a live staple.
Despite its short length of 2 minutes and 14 seconds, the song features a variety of developments.
In the music video, be sure to watch the members running through the city.
HEY-SMITH’s classic and popular songs (11–20)
We sing our songHEY-SMITH

Included on their 1st mini album “Proud and Loud.” The song unfolds intensely with repeated shouts of “We sing our song.” While the rapid off-beat guitar cutting really stands out, the way it drives hard during the shouted chorus is quintessentially them.
At live shows, the crowd breaks into ska dancing all at once, and at outdoor festivals, clouds of dust rise and hang in the air.
Dancing Is IllegalHEY-SMITH

A track from the 3rd album, “Now Album.” The moment you hear it, you’ll be like, “What is this insanely cool song!?” It’s a super cool and fun tune bursting with melodic elements.
Maybe because the lyrics are about Osaka’s Entertainment Law, even the cops who show up in the music video are poppy.
The drum beat in the A section is completely insane.
Stop The WarHEY-SMITH

A track from the 4th album “STOP THE WAR.” It’s a hardcore, badass song! As the title suggests, guitarist-vocalist Igari wrote it when he felt fear about war, putting his wish into it: that our country will remain one that does not wage war.
Let It PunkHEY-SMITH

HEY-SMITH is a ska-punk band formed in Osaka in 2006.
Although they went on hiatus in 2015, they returned even more powerful after a lineup change.
Led by vocalist-guitarist Shuhei Igari, they are a five-piece band.
Their self-produced summer festival is also very popular, and we highly recommend attending.
