This song was used a little earlier, in 2011, as the theme song for the TV drama “The Reason I Can’t Find My Love.” She has many other famous ballads, and this one is among them.

It’s said the drama’s cast also praised it highly.

It’s Tani Yuuki’s self-cover of a track he gifted to Ryota Katayose, included on the album “Tamentai.” Also featured as an insert song in the TV Tokyo drama “Fate Police,” this piece delicately captures the feelings of those pursuing their dreams.

The tug-of-war between the self that wants to give up and the strong self that refuses is portrayed beautifully.

You’re sure to relate to the struggle to find one’s path amid the intertwining of happiness and unhappiness.

It’s a song I especially want high school students to hear—one that might spark hopes and dreams for the future.
