Keio Gijuku, a powerhouse from Kanagawa Prefecture.

When it comes to their signature tune, it has to be Reka.

These days Reka is a familiar staple, but it actually took eight years for it to really catch on.

That’s only natural—unless Keio Gijuku appeared on the national stage, like at Koshien, there would have been no way for it to spread.

The piece was created in 2008, prompted by their selection for the Spring Koshien.

Little by little it became known, and today it’s a well-known number among high school baseball brass band fans.
