House Party Hits: Recommended Drinking Games (11–20)
Sing-along game

Many people probably feel like singing when they drink.
For those people, we recommend the “Sing-it Game.” It’s a very simple game: when someone says an artist’s name, you have 3 seconds to sing a song by that artist.
You might think it’s easy when popular, well-known artists or bands are named, but answering—and singing—on the spot is surprisingly tricky.
Once you finish singing, immediately pass it to the next person by calling out another artist’s name without hesitation.
If they can’t start singing within 3 seconds, they’re out—time for a penalty game!
Intro Quiz

An intro quiz is always a hit, no matter the era or generation! It’s a game where you listen only to the intro of a song and guess the title.
Buzzing in with the song title is fun, but if you’re drinking at home, try placing a microphone—or something like one—in the middle of the table.
When someone figures it out, they grab the mic and sing the song.
That’s sure to get everyone excited! You can have someone play random tracks on their smartphone to run the quiz, and there are also plenty of intro quiz videos on video sites you can make use of.
Do-Re-Mi Song Game

The Do-Re-Mi Song game you play along with the children’s song “Do-Re-Mi.” It’s very simple and easy—and yet difficult! In this game, the person who starts sings “Do-Re-Mi,” then designates the next singer and also assigns the scale degree they must sing.
The chosen player has to sing the correct lyrics for that scale degree, in the correct pitch, and then pass it on to the next person.
But here’s the catch: even if people remember the lyrics, they keep getting pulled into the previous person’s pitch and can’t produce the right note—so many end up unable to sing it properly! It’s a game where you can’t help but laugh when a friend suddenly starts singing in a completely wrong key.
Aburi Karubi Game

A simple rhythm game where you just say “aburi karubi” while fluttering your hand like you’re searing short ribs.
You clap on the beat and say “aburi karubi”; if you can’t say it cleanly or keep the rhythm, you’re out.
You might think, can something this simple really be that fun? But with each round, the number of times you have to say “aburi karubi” increases, turning it into a tongue twister, and people keep tripping up.
As the speed picks up, you can’t say “aburi karubi” properly or you mess up the count—which, for some reason, makes it hilarious.
Enjoy instantly! “Shingenchi Game”

Choose one person from the players to be the guesser.
The remaining members decide who will be the “epicenter,” then either stand in front of the guesser or form a circle with the guesser at the center.
At the start signal, the epicenter naturally strikes a pose—anything is fine, such as folding their arms, switching their pivot foot, or scratching their head.
The other members, with a slight delay, imitate the epicenter’s pose.
The guesser must observe who started the pose and identify the epicenter.
Cluster

“Klashter” is a board game that makes clever use of magnetism.
The rules are very simple: players take turns placing magnetic pieces inside a looped string.
However, since the pieces attract each other, if the piece you place sticks to another piece, you’re out.
Because the pieces aren’t all the same size, you’ll need a strategy for which pieces to place where, plus the courage to commit your move while invisible magnetic forces are at play.
Toward the end, available space runs out, tension rises, and it gets really exciting!

Impostor Party

Let’s all enjoy “Imposter Party,” a variant of the Werewolf game! In this game, you try to find the imposter who only appears to be following a directive but actually didn’t receive one.
First, shuffle one imposter card—with no directive written on it—into the directive cards and deal one card to each participant.
During the time limit, players who received directives should carry them out.
The imposter should act so as not to reveal they’re the imposter.
When time is up, recall everyone’s actions and, without discussion, point to who you think is the imposter.
If the actual imposter receives the most votes, they get a chance at a comeback by guessing someone else’s directive.
If they guess correctly, the imposter wins; if not, they lose.
