Batonwacci

Passing on the abundant love we received from our parents to someone else—here’s a wacci masterpiece that portrays that warmhearted chain.

This song gently affirms the changing sense of distance that comes with growing up, while recalling memories of holding your mother’s hand in childhood.

Released as a single in November 2019, it was written as the theme song for TV Tokyo’s Drama Biz series “Haru: The Woman at a Trading Company.” The words penned by vocalist Yohei Hashiguchi carefully scoop up the unmistakable love found in everyday life.

It’s perfect for a letter to your parents at a wedding, or for those moments when you want to say a “thank you” that you don’t usually express.

I Want to Protect You ~Magic of a Touch~NEW!kurisu haato

In the ordinary days spent with our children, aren’t there moments when our hearts suddenly swell with tenderness? The compassion we feel for those dearest to us right by our side, and the love conveyed through touch, are sung with a warm voice.

Originally included on the album “Heart Song -Special Edition-” released in September 2013, the song was later featured on a single released in February 2014.

It was also used in a Nivea commercial, perfectly aligning with the brand’s worldview of protecting families.

Chris Hart’s vocals evoke the warmth of everyday life.

It’s perfect for quietly listening while gazing at your sleeping child at night.

To youBLUE ENCOUNT

Even if you think “it goes without saying,” gratitude won’t be conveyed unless you put it into words.

This BLUE ENCOUNT song wraps up that mix of frustration and warmth.

For the mom who’s always by your side, it delivers the feelings you’re too shy to say—like “thank you”—on your behalf.

Released as a digital single in May 2020 and included on the album Q.E.D, the track is also known for originating from the radio show SCHOOL OF LOCK!’s Parent-Child Bond Project.

Because it’s based on listeners’ real voices, its unadorned words resonate all the more.

FamilyORANGE RANGE

This is a song by ORANGE RANGE.

It’s a warm number that paints a picture of Okinawa’s peaceful everyday life and family scenes, expressing gratitude for ordinary happiness and the passing of the baton of life.

Written specifically for NHK’s Minna no Uta and broadcast from October 2018, this piece—created after the era of the album ELEVEN PIECE—features gentle string tones that resonate deeply.

It reminds us of the gratitude we come to feel for our parents as we grow up, and the preciousness of our unassuming days.

During the LIVE TOUR 018-019, it was performed with a choir, wrapping the entire venue in a warm atmosphere.

When you want to say “thank you,” something that can feel embarrassing in everyday life, this song will surely give you a gentle push.

A masterpiece.

Bouquet of the ExtraordinaryTakahashi Yuu

When you think of Yu Takahashi, his appeal lies in the many positive, deeply resonant songs like “Ashita wa Kitto Ii Hi ni Naru” and “Fukuwarai.” This song, “Hibon no Hanataba,” feels a bit different—less overtly positive, with a touch of everyday weariness—an everyday-life tune that makes you want to say, “So true,” as you listen.

Yet it sings about the happiness that lies just beyond those ordinary moments.

You might feel like every day is the same and nothing stands out, but this song makes you realize that it’s precisely that “normal” that is happiness.

Mom and DadHitoto Yo

A heartwarming number by singer Yo Hitoto, who has roots in Taiwan and Japan, expressing her feelings for her late parents.

Included on her October 2014 album “Watashi Jūsō,” the song is said to have been written in one burst, as if she suddenly woke up at 3 a.m.

The composition was handled by Kaori Kishitani.

Although the initial idea was for an up-tempo track, once Kishitani received the lyrics, she set them to a warm melody, completing the piece as a gentle, uplifting pop song.

Filled with memories from around the age of ten and words of gratitude left unsaid, this work is perfect for weddings and anniversaries—an opportunity to deliver the “thank you” that’s hard to say in everyday life, together with this song.

HOMEShimizu Shota

This is Shota Shimizu’s debut single “HOME,” released in 2008.

With a title that evokes the presence of a warm family, the song also serves as a message of support for people who are remembering such warmth—looking back on the past while doing their best in the present.

When times get tough, it’s our family and the people who have supported us that we think of, after all.

It’s a song that fills you with warmth when you listen to it.
