List of Jazz Festivals in the Kanto Region [2026]

This event is a long-standing jazz festival that has been held since 1993 under the slogan “The entire city becomes a stage.” Taking place in Yokohama—a historic port city and arguably the birthplace of jazz in Japan—it attracts 100,000 visitors every year, making it one of the largest jazz festivals in the country.

The Blue Note JAZZ FESTIVAL, a summer tradition in New York, the home of jazz, made its way to Japan in 2015. At the exotically atmospheric Yokohama Red Brick Park, you can enjoy performances by world-renowned jazz musicians.

Jazz Cruising, where you can enjoy a live jazz performance and a cruise at the same time, the four-day Jazz Week featuring live shows by both professional and amateur jazz musicians leading up to the main Jazz Street event, and then the main Jazz Street itself! It’s the ultimate event where professional performers play right near you at cafes and bars!

Nerima JAZZ Festival. At this festival, multiple stages are set up within Hikarigaoka Park, the venue, and about 40 bands perform in total. True to its slogan, “Anything goes as long as it’s the best,” the festival features an exceptionally diverse lineup of outstanding artists.

Kawasaki Jazz is a jazz festival that treats the entire city of Kawasaki as a grand stage. Embracing the memories rooted in its neighborhoods and landscapes, it creates opportunities for encounters and exchange through jazz, with a focus on what makes Kawasaki unique. Centered on “diversity” and “collaboration,” it promotes community development through music.

It’s the Kawaguchi Street Jazz Festival. In addition to live jazz performances, you can also enjoy dance and other performances at several venues around Kawaguchi Station.
