In the summer of 2023, a new category for comedic song submissions was introduced at VocaColle, and this piece took first place.
The theme is Zundamon working hard to contribute to society, but the worldbuilding is utterly chaotic.
And yet the sound arrangement is tightly put together, and its infectious groove really gets you hyped! Both the song and the music video are top-notch in quality—highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh, cutting-edge works!
Kafu-chan’s Curry Noodle RhapsodySouth of South
This is a short song that sweeps you up with its momentum.
It’s a work by Minami-no-Minami, a popular Vocaloid producer known for comedic tracks, released in July 2023.
As noted in the video description, the piece was inspired by Yukopi’s “Gale-Force All Back” being used in a Nissin Cup Noodles Seafood flavor commercial.
Watching KAFU slurp down Curry Noodles somehow makes you hungry.
By the way, the voice you hear when the Nissin corporate logo appears is Minami-no-Minami himself.

Fittingly, the arrangement crams in phrases from iconic songs that have colored the Vocaloid scene.
It’s not only laugh-out-loud funny, but somehow genuinely moving, too.

It’s definitely a novelty song, but I’m not sure it should be discussed as just a novelty song… That’s the kind of dilemma this track gives you.
Most of the lyrics are made up of onomatopoeia, so it’s hard to grasp any meaning—in fact, there is none.
However, the layered sounds, sound effects, and chorus make those onomatopoeias match as if it were a cappella, creating an irresistible pull.

It’s a pop tune overflowing with love for rice—an essential on Japanese dining tables.
Created by Vocaloid producer Yukopi, it began airing in December 2025.
The song was newly written for NHK’s “Minna no Uta” as the featured track from December 2025 to January 2026.
