Latest J-Pop releases (221–230)
Life-size love letternatsuiro matsuri

Produced by HoneyWorks, this is a positive rock track packed with the sparkle and bittersweetness of youth.
Sung by Natsuiro Matsuri, a first-generation member of the VTuber group hololive, the song endearingly portrays someone trying to convey their true feelings despite harboring both love and self-doubt.
It was released digitally in January 2026 and is a standout pre-release track also included on her first album, “Chasing the Dream: Spotlight After School,” scheduled to ship in late February.
HoneyWorks’ signature catchy melodies combined with Natsuiro Matsuri’s bright, straightforward vocals make it a song that fills you with courage just by listening.
It’s a track you’ll want to play when you’re ready to share your feelings with someone special.
Get naked.Ōhara Sakurako

Sakurako Ohara, who also made waves for having singer-songwriter Mao Abe write and compose the song with arrangement by akkin, released “Hadaka ni Natte” in January 2026 as her first single after turning 30.
From its opening—just acoustic guitar and vocals—the track pulls you in, conveying a strong resolve to move forward even while carrying the pain of a breakup.
The custom guitar used in the music video, designed with “night cherry blossoms” in mind, also leaves a lasting impression, and the song comes together as a rock ballad where gentleness and intensity coexist.
It’s an emotional number that we hope those looking to heal the wounds of heartbreak—or to lay their feelings bare and draw energy for tomorrow—will definitely listen to.
ENDROLLKawakami Yohei

This piece was created as an insert song for the film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway’s Flash: Witch of Circe.
It’s a collaboration between Yohei Kawakami of [Alexandros] and SennaRin, produced by Hiroyuki Sawano, released digitally in January 2026.
While the previous work’s theme was “impulse,” the theme this time is plainly “fragility.” Kawakami’s powerful vocals layer with SennaRin’s wistful tone, as if amplifying the story’s poignancy and tension.
The expansive, cinematic sound that’s so characteristic of Sawano is also captivating.
It’s perfect for lingering in the film’s afterglow, and perhaps best enjoyed on a quiet night when you can listen closely.
Rivals and EqualsMori Calliope

The high-energy sound makes you want to throw your fist in the air! Released for streaming in January 2026 by hololive English’s Mori Calliope, this track was produced as an insert song for episode 18 of the anime “Gachiakuta.” Riding on a heavyweight arrangement by PABLO and G4CH4, its lyrics—depicting a heated rivalry—hit with razor-sharp impact.
Why not give it a listen before a must-win showdown? It’s also included on the album “DISASTERPIECE,” out in February 2026.
3XLNumber_i

It’s Number_i’s first love song.
Released as a digital single in January 2026, it pairs lyrics that portray pure, innocent feelings with a hard-hitting, bass-driven track for a striking contrast.
It’s a modern dance-pop tune that showcases their unique groove—sweet but not saccharine.
Perfect for when you want to feel the thrill of romance or lift your spirits and get energized.
