Junretsu’s greatest and most popular songs (1–10)
Thank youNEW!Junretsu

Junretsu is a mood kayō chorus group centered around former tokusatsu hero actors.
Affectionately known as a “super sento idol” act and even performers at the NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, many of you may already be familiar with them.
Their new song is Arigatō, a single released in February 2026 marking the 15th anniversary of their debut.
It’s the first time leader Kazuyoshi Sakai has written the lyrics for the title track, penning a straightforward message of gratitude to their fans.
The single was released in three versions with different coupling tracks, and it has garnered strong support, including reaching No.
1 on the Oricon Daily Singles Ranking dated February 3, 2026.
It’s a warm, encouraging song that gently gives listeners a push forward, so if you want to express thanks to someone, be sure to give it a listen.
What are you doing tonight?Junretsu

“What Are You Doing Tonight?” is a track included on the album Junretsu Spirit 2, released in November 2025, composed by folk legend Kosetsu Minami.
The lyrics—portraying an intense passion that defies restraint and the edgy games of mature romance—leave a strong impression.
It’s a superb fusion of the sultry allure of mood kayō with a sophisticated, urban pop sound.
Recommended for nighttime drives or for those seeking a mellow, intimate atmosphere.
Steam-Filled NightJunretsu

This is a treasured masterpiece by Junretsu that you’ll want to listen to while reminiscing about an unforgettable night at a hot spring inn.
Known as “super sento idols,” their emotionally rich mood kayō (Japanese ballad style) is truly captivating! This song was included as the B-side on Type D of the single “Ai de Shibaritai,” released in September 2017.
Its poignant yet beautiful lyrics, which let lingering feelings for a former lover drift like steam in the bath, strike right at the heart.
They’ve performed it on stages at health centers—their home base—and it has won over fans there as well.
The gently flowing melody and warmly enveloping chorus work heighten that sense of travel romance.
Why not play it in the car on the way to a hot spring trip or during a leisurely moment after a bath, and let it soothe both body and soul?
Twilight GinzaJunretsu

This song is quite distinctive, and as you can see from this video, it comes with a radio calisthenics-style dance that makes it fun to move along to.
Because it includes a dance, it’s a tune that people of all ages—from the elderly to children—can enjoy.
How about performing it at a family gathering?
Samba on a Starry NightJunretsu

This is Junretsu’s third single cut after transferring to Nippon Crown.
Billed as the most powerful dance number in Junretsu’s history, this track more than lives up to the “samba” in its title, delivering a passionate, high-energy tune—the strongest and most fervent dance number with no false advertising.
Before the rumored rain fallsJunretsu

“Before the Rumor Rain Falls” is a song, sung from a woman’s perspective, about a forbidden love that evokes a sense of melancholy.
Judging from the lyrics, she seems to be the man’s other woman—his mistress.
The phrase “rumor rain” also feels like it could represent the wife’s tears.
Given that many of the members come from a tokusatsu/sentai hero background, a song like this creates a bit of a contrast.
Tonight is dramatic.Junretsu

This is the sixth single by Junretsu, released in 2015 in two formats.
With its bright melody, it’s a quintessential pop track that’s fun to sing and dance to, yet it also features the rich, glossy vocal quality characteristic of kayōkyoku.
It stands as one of their proud, high-energy tunes.
