[KAT-TUN’s Masterpieces] A Curated Selection of Hit Songs and Fan-Favorite Tracks (41–50)
GLORIAKAT-TUN

This is the B-side track to the debut single “Real Face,” released on March 22, 2006.
It was used as the theme song for NTV’s Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup 2005.
LIPSKAT-TUN

Starting with Kamenashi-kun’s whisper-like vocals, this song has a fast-paced rock feel.
The members sing intensely using unusual microphone stands.
In concerts, the microphone stands are designed to emit smoke.
SIGNALKAT-TUN

This is their second single, released on July 19, 2006.
It reached No.
1 on the Oricon monthly singles chart for July 2006.
The song was used in NTT DoCoMo’s “new 9 series” commercials, in which the members themselves also appeared.
Wedge -kusabi-KAT-TUN

Their first song as four members.
The title, “Kusabi” (Wedge), carried a somewhat suggestive meaning for fans.
Since Akanishi and Kamenashi had been the main vocalists, people worried whether the four of them could handle it, but there was no need to worry at all—especially Nakamaru’s voice is distinctive and addictive.
I really want you to listen to it.
GIMME LUVKAT-TUN

This is a coupling track released after they became a four-member group, and the intense, rock-style sound that’s so characteristic of KAT-TUN remained intact even after they became four.
It feels a bit lonely without the rap, but the song is so confident that you hardly notice.
NEVER AGAINKAT-TUN

Starting with a whispered line that leads into a rap, this track is packed with coolness and sexiness.
The high harmonies sung by Akanishi grab you by the heart.
This song is also from before their debut.
Akanishi’s allure can’t be concealed, and I can’t stop grinning.
YOUKAT-TUN

From the sparkling sound to the striking opening line, it captures your heart.
The members who sing so beautifully are dazzling.
The rap is gentle and easy to listen to, making it a refreshing track.
Akanishi-kun is, unusually, singing in a refreshing style.
