The Hero’s Grand Adventure

Kids are sure to join in with excitement! Here’s an idea for a Brave Hero’s Grand Adventure.
In this event, parents and children work together to overcome activities like mats and balance beams, defeat a big monster, and then reach the finish line.
Using a crown or a cape as the baton helps create the right atmosphere—highly recommended! Adjust the number and type of activities based on your venue size, and try incorporating it into your sports day.
Stick-pulling sumo
@cocoskip Hello! This is Cocoskip. In today’s video, we’re playing tug-of-war with a stick. It looks like a simple game, but even adults ended up in a pretty heated match 😂#cocoskipSkip hereChild Development SupportAfter-school day serviceExercise Therapy#After-school day service#Child Development Support (Japan)#CocoSkipChallenge#Indoor PlaysimulationPlayShowdownStaff’s Daily LifeTug-of-war sumo#IWantToBeOnTheRecommendationsI love the admins.
Idol – YOASOBI
Here’s an idea for a sumo-style game using a stick.
You’ll need a pool cue, a mat, and a platform.
It’s a fun game that builds strength and balance! Two players hold a single pool cue and pull against each other, trying to either make the opponent step off the platform or let go of the stick.
It also helps develop patience through focused, physical competition.
Since the game starts with the mat and platform setup, it’s a great activity for after-school day services.
Kids can have fun while boosting their fitness and competitive spirit.
[Parent-Child Event] Goldfish Move

A heartwarming event where children and their guardians participate together.
The children wear red happi coats, the guardians wear blue happi coats, and they carry large goldfish scooping nets.
The festive visuals will boost the kids’ excitement.
When the game starts, scoop up a big goldfish from the first tank, circle around the flag once, then place the goldfish into the second tank to “move” the goldfish to its new home.
Split into the Red Team and Blue Team and race to see who finishes first—the competition makes it even more exciting.
Hula-hoop race

How about a hula hoop race using the hula hoops kids often play with? There are various ways to do it.
One option is to connect two hula hoops, have one person stand inside each ring, and run together.
It’s not as complicated as a three-legged race, and as long as you’re a little mindful of your partner’s pace, preschool and kindergarten children can enjoy it too.
Another recommendation is to use the hula hoop like a jump rope and run while hopping with it.
Defeat the pirates!

This is an event you can insert between more traditional programs to create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
The teacher playing the pirate should be well disguised so their true identity isn’t revealed—that’s the key point of the performance.
Then, have everyone throw beanbag balls at the pirate and work together to defeat them.
Use the microphone to hype things up with lines like, “Let’s defeat the scary pirate!” and “Let’s all work together and do our best!” Hearing these prompts helps the children focus on the activity of grabbing and throwing the balls, so they can enjoy exercising while having fun.
The rice ball goes rolling, roll, roll.

How about a competition inspired by the classic folktale “Omusubi Kororin,” beloved by children both in the past and today? Beforehand, read the picture book to the kids to share the story’s world.
Once the activity starts, they first stand inside the hula hoop placed at the start and pass their bodies through it from below.
Next, they move forward by rolling a large round rice ball—just like a giant ball roll.
Then, after placing the rice ball inside the second hula hoop, they run to the finish line.
It’s a fun and adorable obstacle race that’s perfect for a preschool sports day.

Emergency dispatch! Little Firefighters

Let’s work together to complete the mission! Emergency dispatch! Here are some ideas for a “Little Firefighters” activity.
Some children may dream of becoming firefighters, inspired by working vehicles or their admiration for the profession.
This time, let’s transform into firefighters and take part in a series of challenges.
Sports Day is a special event held once a year, and for the older children, it’s also their last one.
Take this opportunity to create memories with an event where children team up with their parents to clear missions.
Give it a try!
