Cleaning Eurhythmics

♫49 [Review] This is what the Cleaning Eurhythmics was like
Cleaning Eurhythmics

Let’s make use of handkerchiefs and organza fabric! Here are some ideas for “cleaning-themed eurhythmics.” Eurhythmics is an educational method that combines music and movement, and it’s said to be especially effective in early childhood.

This time, let’s play with a cleaning theme through cleaning eurhythmics.

By using handkerchiefs, children can move their hands and arms in time with the music.

A nice benefit is that they can develop a sense of force control and rhythm while having fun.

Using light, soft materials also makes them easier for children to handle!

Rock-Paper-Scissors Train

Rock-Paper-Scissors Train

Let’s play “Rock-Paper-Scissors Train,” a game where we make a long train! At first, everyone moves around freely while the music is playing.

When the music stops, you play rock-paper-scissors with the person in front of you.

If you lose, you connect by standing behind the winner.

The winner becomes (or stays) the train’s front and moves around with everyone attached behind.

Repeat this until there’s no one left without a partner.

The person who remains at the front until the very end wins.

Since the line will keep getting longer, play in as large a space as possible.

clay play

[For Nursery Teachers] Kids Will Love It! 6 Clay Play Ideas
clay play

Clay play, which kids love, makes time fly by because they get so absorbed in it.

Precisely because the rainy season brings so many wet days, it’s one of the activities you’ll want to let them spend plenty of time on.

Start by offering themes or ideas to help them expand their imagination.

For example, they can make animals using acorns and twigs, or create decorations for jars.

They can also mix in paint to make clays of different colors, add spoons to turn them into ice cream, or make vegetables and fruits—so much fun! If you later use what they’ve made for pretend play, it will open up even more ways to enjoy it.

Bomb game

Bomb game

The excitement just won’t stop! Here’s a fun idea for a bomb game.

It’s a great way to build concentration and decision-making skills while playing.

All you need is a device that can play music and a ball or balloon.

Have the participants stand in a circle facing each other.

While the music is playing, pass the ball to the person next to you.

When the music stops, whoever is holding the ball loses—simple as that.

It’s sure to be a hit with preschool classes!

beast hunting

A fun indoor adventure game: Monster Hunt.

First, everyone sings the Monster Hunt song along with the teacher.

In the song, it says you’re carrying lots of weapons needed for the hunt, so try adding gestures that match the lyrics.

At the end of the song, the teacher says the name of the beast that’s been found.

Make groups with the same number of people as the number of characters in that beast’s name and sit down—that’s a success! For example, if the beast is “raion” (lion) with four characters in Japanese, you form groups of four.

It’s also fun to make it harder by choosing beasts with longer names as you go.

See how many different beasts you can find!

sensory toy play

Fun for all ages! Here are some sensory toy play ideas.

You’ll need: food storage bags, colored water, oil, adzuki beans, erasers, toy goldfish, beads, bells, hair gel, and tape.

Put the materials you prepared into the bag along with the hair gel! Changing up the colors and textures makes the feel different and more interesting.

Sensory toys are recommended not only for infants but also for preschoolers—they’re engaging to look at and touch, and kids will be totally absorbed.

Towel play

Towel play

If you want to get plenty of movement indoors even when it’s raining, games using a towel are recommended.

Prepare a long, narrow towel.

You can rub your body vigorously as if doing dry brushing, jump with it like a jump rope, or play tug-of-war—one long towel lets you enjoy all kinds of activities.

It’s also great to roll the towel into a ball and play catch.

Just be careful not to slip on a towel that falls on the floor and get injured while you play!
