YELL! ~The 16th Summer~Inoue Shouko

This piece was used at the 71st tournament in 1989, the summer tournament.
At that time in the Koshien tournament, only 15 players could be on the bench.
The 16th player was the closest to Koshien yet couldn’t quite make it, and this song powerfully conveys the passionate feelings for those players whose hopes didn’t reach the field.
Unfortunately, as the number of bench players increased later on, it fell out of use, but it remains a timeless classic that will never fade.
Thank youikimonogakari

A gently delivered song filled with warm gratitude, it was written as the theme for the NHK morning drama series Gegege no Nyobo.
Released in December 2010, it’s one of Ikimono-gakari’s signature ballads.
The lyrics, which straightforwardly convey thanks to someone with whom you’ve shared many memories, leave a strong impression.
This piece is perfect for times when you want to express appreciation to someone important, or when you need courage to take a new step forward.
It’s a song that resonates with the desire to cherish the happiness found in everyday life.

Summer Memoriesberii guddoman

This is a refreshing cheer song by Ballistik Boyz that sets your heart ablaze with a trembling-voiced pledge among teammates: a resolve to never lose.
The track was chosen as the theme song for the East-West Tokyo High School Baseball Tournament in the summer of 2021.
The lyrics, which feel infused with MOCA’s real-life experiences as a former high school baseball player, do more than simply say “do your best”—they teach the importance of moving forward together, supporting one another through anxiety and inner conflict.
Whether you’re facing hurdles in sports or studies, this song will gently yet powerfully nudge you forward.
OathBEGIN

BEGIN is an acoustic band that delivers a unique sound to listeners by incorporating Okinawan folk music.
Their 2004 release, “Chikai” (Oath), was chosen as the ending theme for ABC’s Netto Koshien that same year.
Its warm band sound, colored by the resonance of the violin, is deeply moving.
The song portrays the players who, even while carrying bittersweet feelings, devote themselves wholeheartedly to baseball.
Pay attention to their choral work, which unfolds over a gentle melody line.
Be sure to listen to this track that sends cheers to all high school baseball players.
summer squallarashi

Here’s the song that was selected in 2018 as the ABC Summer High School Baseball support song and the theme song for Nettō Kōshien.
It’s a track by Arashi, a hugely popular national idol group.
Released in 2018 as their 55th single, its refreshing melody evokes the pleasant feel of a summer breeze.
Listening to it makes your heart feel lighter.
The lyrics and composition were handled by Yujin Kitagawa of the musical duo Yuzu.
miracleSuga Shikao

It was the theme song for Asahi Broadcasting’s 2005 National High School Baseball Championship broadcasts and is Shikao Suga’s 18th single.
Inspired by the idea that “miracles are close at hand at the summer Koshien,” it’s dramatic how the song starts abruptly without an intro.
It pulls you out of a listless ‘everyday’ and leads you not toward ‘ideals’ or ‘dreams,’ but into a real world that makes you sense the ‘miracle’ that’s about to happen.
The driving sound makes you want to overlay it with the summer Koshien where beautiful miracles occur—or with your own youth!
I love youback number

“I Love You,” which became a massive hit as the theme song for NHK’s morning drama Maiagare and one of back number’s new signature tracks.
In March 2023, it was selected as the entrance march for the National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament; it was memorable to hear the brass band perform it powerfully at a light tempo so the players could march easily.
It’s a masterpiece that conveys deep love—the desire to take time to find something, not necessarily special, that only you can give to someone important.
Overlapping with the pure, fresh presence of high school students, it’s a moving youth anthem.
