proofflumpool

It seems this was the set piece for the 2011 (78th) NHK All-Japan School Music Competition, Junior High Division! The vocal range is quite wide, from A2 to C5.
The falsetto parts appear in the chorus.
The melody line is easy to follow, building nicely through a verse (A), pre-chorus (B), chorus, and final chorus.
First, the A section sits quite low, so be careful not to overuse your throat there.
If you watch choirs or singers’ facial expressions, you’ll notice their eyebrows and facial muscles are lifted quite a bit.
Simply lifting your facial muscles like this helps open the throat and makes singing a bit easier.
It also helps you transition smoothly from chest voice to falsetto.
In addition, make sure to fully support and release your breath on the high falsetto notes.
Aiming your voice straight up toward the top of your head makes falsetto easier to produce.
With just a small shift in awareness, the song becomes much easier to sing—give it a try!
EurekaHoshino Gen

It was produced as the theme song for “Madoka, 26, I’m a Resident!” released in January 2025.
If you watched the drama, it might sound familiar.
It’s a calm ballad with a relaxed tempo and understated lyrics, and because there isn’t much pitch movement, it’s easy to sing steadily—perfect even for middle schoolers! Also, the 3-and-a-half-minute length makes it easy to learn quickly.
Hoshino Gen’s clean, light falsetto appears several times, but if you sing with a gentle, humming feel overall, it’s easier to stay on pitch and to produce the falsetto.
It’s not a song you belt, so aim for a high score by watching the pitch bar and singing each note carefully.
Rather than “pushing out your voice,” think of “letting the breath flow,” and ride the song smoothly—you might find it brings out your expressiveness, too.
illustrated reference bookSEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI often gives the impression of having many high-pitched songs, but the July 2025 release “Zukan” doesn’t feature belted high notes and has little range fluctuation, so it seems very scoring-friendly—you might even aim for a perfect 100.
The melody is also easy to remember since it’s structured with just verse A, verse B, and the chorus, without a new section like a bridge.
Overall, the vocal range, rhythm, and melody are clearly organized, so you don’t need any special techniques and can sing it at a relaxed pace.
To aim for 100 points, the first priority is matching pitch.
Try singing lightly with the image of lifting your facial muscles and eyebrows and sending the voice forward from just above the eyebrows.
Vocalist Fukase also tends to keep his eyebrows raised, so use that as a reference!
Join us !naniwa danshi

One of the tracks included on the sixth single “I Wish,” “Join us!” Despite being a B-side, it has enjoyed exceptional popularity, even receiving a music video.
It features the refreshing, bright melodies that are a hallmark of Naniwa Danshi.
The vocal range is mid1 E to mid2 G#, which is fairly narrow for a Naniwa Danshi song, so it should be easy for men to sing.
However, the chorus contains prolonged mid-to-high phrases, so be sure to choose a key that doesn’t strain your throat or temples.
slowAKASAKI

The digital release date is July 7, 2025, but it was pre-released on TikTok in March and quickly became a hot topic, surpassing one million views! The tempo isn’t too slow or too fast, making it very easy to sing and approachable for anyone.
The vocal range is around mid1 to mid2, and the high notes that appear in parts are in falsetto, so I think you can sing them comfortably.
Overall, it has a calm tone, but it modulates in the last chorus, raising the key by about two steps.
You might find it easier to stay on pitch if you sing that section with a bit more energy.
One thing to watch out for is not to pull the notes up with your throat.
Since we want a natural modulation, try singing by resonating in your head while placing a slight forward attack on the sound.
That way, the high notes will come out smoothly and feel great!
TETETEpirafu seijin

Pilaf Seijin is a rapper drawing attention in the MC battle scene.
While opinions about him in battles are divided, his recorded tracks have been highly praised, especially among teen heads.
Among his songs, the one I particularly recommend is “TETETE.” It’s a track drenched in Auto-Tune, but the flow itself is fairly simple and melodious, leaning more toward a vocal performance than straight rap.
Though it sits on the higher side, the overall range isn’t very wide, making it a song that’s relatively easy to sing for all genders.
Bitter VacationMrs. GREEN APPLE

Mrs.
GREEN APPLE is a band with overwhelming support from young people.
Rather than being characterized by highly original musicality, their hallmark is an approachable sound that prioritizes catchiness, and they’ve released many hit songs to date.
However, despite their catchiness, Mrs.
GREEN APPLE’s songs tend to be extremely difficult to perform.
That’s why we recommend Bitter Vacation.
With a range of mid1 C# to hi A, it’s on the narrower side for a Mrs.
GREEN APPLE song, so you shouldn’t struggle too much in terms of vocal production.
That said, the overall key is on the higher side, so transposing is essential.
As for crowd-pleasing impact, it’s outstanding—definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
