While the genre is R&B, the overall tempo is kept very slow, making it a ballad that’s easy to enjoy even for those who might be hesitant about Black music.
The lyrics are sad, but the melody is incredibly soothing, so be sure to listen while gazing out at the ocean.
Falsa MonedaBuika
The legendary Spanish artist Buika’s classic song “Falsa Moneda.” It’s one of her hits and a work that’s highly acclaimed by music connoisseurs around the world.
Although it’s a breakup song in which the woman urges the other to leave, I chose it because the melody is exceptionally well crafted.
It’s an elegant, artistic piece where you can savor her husky voice.
I think you’ll feel pleasantly at ease listening to it while gazing at the sea!
Caribbean BlueEnya
If you’re going to see the ocean, I highly recommend “Caribbean Blue.” The singer, Enya, is a leading New Age artist and has won the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album four times.
Interestingly, although this song is New Age, it uses a waltz time signature.
It’s a superb mix of two genres, making it feel very fresh.
It was also commercially successful, reaching No.
8 on the Irish charts and No.
13 in the UK.
Her voice has a unique quality that suits the great outdoors, so it’s easy to see why it was a hit.
Listening to it on the way to the sea or while enjoying a vacation will put you in a wonderfully pleasant mood!

Isabelle Antena was a central member of Antena, a French bossa unit.
After disbanding the group, which was not commercially successful, she made her solo debut in 1985.
