Nakamura "NOBU-san" Nobuaki

Virgo, blood type AB.

In the autumn of my twelfth year, I started playing the drums at my parents’ recommendation.

At that time, I didn’t really understand the joy of music and began attending lessons the way I would go to cram school.

In junior high, I discovered how interesting and amazing music could be through the assigned piece Luka by Suzanne Vega.

In high school, I joined numerous bands (there were situations where I was the only drummer), and again I keenly felt the importance of drums.

After graduating high school, I enrolled in a vocational school, where I studied drum set, Latin percussion, drum corps, and human studies.

Around this time, encountering Black music was a life-changing shock for me.

Currently, in addition to live performances and support work that defy genre boundaries—POPS, FUNK, ROCK, kayōkyoku, enka, JAZZ, HARD ROCK—I also work as an instructor.

I’m also highly regarded as an event organizer and musician coordinator (inspector).
