Masuda Bunka

I started playing in bands in high school.

I studied recording and composition in Osaka and London.

I mainly played guitar, but switched instruments due to an injury.

I’m currently producing tracks for rappers, among other things.

I also work in translation and writing, focusing on entertainment-related translation such as lyrics and manga, and writing in areas like business and philosophy.

I listen widely across genres, both Western and Japanese music.

I like music that makes you want to move (or that lets you chill).

I tend to focus on lyrics in particular.

I’d love to share deeper ways to enjoy music—like rhyme schemes in English rap, or the hidden meanings behind songs.
