Masuda Bunka

I started playing in bands when I was in high school.

I studied recording and composition in Osaka and London.

I mainly played guitar, but after an injury I switched instruments.

I’m currently making tracks for rappers, among other things.

I also work in translation and writing—primarily entertainment-related translations like song lyrics and manga, as well as writing on business and philosophy.

I listen widely across genres, both Western and Japanese music.

I like music that makes you want to move (or that lets you chill).

I tend to focus on lyrics in particular.

I’d love to share deeper ways to enjoy music—like the rhymes in English rap, or the hidden meanings behind songs.
