Let me introduce the music of MINMI, a reggae singer from Osaka Prefecture.
Her debut single, “The Perfect Vision,” released in 2002, went into heavy rotation on more than 20 radio stations and became a major hit.
Although her music is rooted in reggae, it incorporates many elements of soca.
Soca is a genre of music from Trinidad and Tobago, and thanks to her representative track that blends soca, “Summertime!!,” she was even invited to a festival in Trinidad and Tobago.
Her own outdoor festival, FREEDOM, which she organizes, is also very popular every year.
Now, please enjoy the music of reggae singer MINMI.

MINMI’s best and most popular songs (1–10)
IslayMINMI

This one is a slightly more mature, gently sung number.
It has lots of high notes and is quite challenging.
But it’s a really beautiful song that gives you strength.
I love how the vibe of the music and the lyrics reveal a tender side that makes you feel their love for nature.
Do Re Mi Fa So in a pink hatMINMI

It’s a heartwarming song that soothes me.
But there are parts that really make me cry, too.
It’s sung very honestly and gently.
I listen to it and sing along with my daughter.
There aren’t many warm, gentle songs that even kindergarteners can sing along to, right? Among those, I’m so glad this one was made.
It’s adorable and I love it.
Lotta Love -m&M mix-MINMI

This one also has a catchy vibe that’s very MINMI.
It’s a dance track.
MINMI’s parts are cute and really nice.
It reminds me of listening to it a lot on drives when I went on trips.
I remember blasting MINMI in the car when I was really into her for a while.
south orangeMINMI

This is a nostalgic number too.
It’s made me want to listen to it again after a long time.
I used to gaze at the ocean while listening to this song until the summer sun went down.
It’s a really lovely song.
It’s so good it made me want to go back to the past.
And it made me want to see the ocean again.
hibiscusMINMI

I get the impression that as she’s gotten older, her voice has become richer and smoother, and she really draws you in.
It’s a number I still absolutely love.
When I sing this song, memories of the live shows come flooding back.
I remembered how the grand scale gave me so much power.
Song of the Four SeasonsMINMI

It treats you to a mellow listening experience.
It’s on the slow side, but it feels relaxed and pleasant to listen to.
I remember going to a bar with friends where this music was playing, sipping drinks as we listened.
I like the lyrics that include Japan’s four seasons.
AnuguruMINMI

It’s an incredibly exciting song.
It makes you want to keep listening to it.
My friend and I once seriously wondered what “Anuguru” means.
But even without knowing the meaning, it’s so catchy that we kept listening.
I hope they release another CD so I can listen again.
