Kinoko Teikoku is a mixed-gender rock band formed in 2007.

In 2019, they went on hiatus following the departure of bassist Shigeaki Taniguchi.

The band’s name reportedly comes from the fact that, at the time of formation, guitarist A-chan’s look resembled a mushroom, combined with inspiration from the band Yura Yura Teikoku, which the members liked—thus “Kinoko Teikoku.” They’re known for their relaxed melodies, gentle and warm lyrics, and the distinctive, charming voice of vocalist Chiaki Sato, and they have remained popular even during their hiatus.
