VALENTINEMONKEY MAJIK

MONKEY MAJIK is a four-piece rock band from Aomori Prefecture formed in 2000.
The band’s name comes from Godiego’s song “Monkey Magic,” which was used in the TV drama Saiyuki.
The group currently consists of Canadian and Japanese members, but in the past it also included German and British members, giving it a multinational character.
This song portrays the feelings of a man nervously wondering whether he’ll receive chocolates on Valentine’s Day.

This is a track included on their fifth album, TIME.
It was also used as the commercial song for Sendai City’s “Sendai Artistic Design My Bag Campaign.” It’s a gentle piece that unfolds at a characteristically calm tempo.
You Are Not AloneMONKEY MAJIK

This song was produced as the campaign song for the joint NHK and Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association radio campaign “Dakaraji.” With the theme of “everyone joining hands,” it conveys the message “you’re not alone.” As of 2015, it is their latest single.
seagullMONKEY MAJIK

Selected as the theme song for NHK Sendai Broadcasting Station’s Tohoku six-prefecture block network program “Nattoku! Koko Tohoku.” It’s a medium-tempo cheer song that speaks to yourself and your friends who can’t take the first step for fear of regret, saying you should spread your wings like a seagull and soar into the sky.
